Ohhh, good... not amazingly good like the first one of course... but good. I gave the first book 5 stars because it was the first time I read a book like this so I was extremely impressed, but now after reading this, I know the author's writing style. Honestly, it was blander than the first one but not as bad as I thought it would be. In this book, it focused on learning more about her family history and finding Toby, the puzzles and clues in this book are expected and not as shocking as the first one. I know a lot of these reviews talk badly about who she picked from the love triangle and...THEY'RE RIGHT. Oh, my days I was rooting for the other man (don't wanna spoil) so much... definitely not because I fan-casted my celebrity crush as him. No, but seriously,
: Jameson feels like the type of person who made Avery like him by charming her, while Grayson was only trying to protect her and know her, their chemistry felt smoother, and his love for her felt more sincere than Jameson. Jameson keeps leaning in and they kiss, but when they pull away he makes comments about continuing the game and solving the riddle and it pissed me off because it feels like he keeps on being affectionate towards her when he is only thinking about the riddle. I hope on the third book she chooses my baby Gray Gray.
Also... I love short chapters I don't know why.

ehhh It is not my style, the way this book was written was as if you're reading a journal or an interview. The plot was slightly dull I think it is because it sounds quite realistic... which means that Taylor did a great job. I read it around a week ago and forgot to write a review, so my brain is fuzzy. I think that the show would be better than the book (because the plot just feels better as a show/movie than a book to me) but I still haven't watched it because we all know what happened when they make movie adaptations of books. Again, if you like realistic book interview style about a rock band in the 1970s then this book is great for you. It is not my thing though.

Wow, it has been a while since I had been obsessed with a book this way. This year, I have been so dimotivated to read. And when I do, it would take me a whole month to finish it. This was the first book in so long that I finished in less than a week. And if I didn't have school or if it isn't Ramadan, I would've finished it in one spot. The tension, the creativity, the suspense, OH MY GOD. I might be biased right now because I just finished this book, but I know for a fact that this series is by far one of my favorite series. I love the characters (except that annoying mf, hope he gets jailed), the plot, the description. My opinion on the boys: -Grayson is bae, i hope Avery ends up with him. Jameson gave me mixed emotions at first, he's okay but I can't get over Gray. Xander is cute, but not in a romantic way. Nash should end up with Libby.- The book cover is gorgeous (this a really important point actually). I ran to the library and got the second book right after I finished. Hopefully it wouldn't disappoint me.
In Cold Blood by Truman Capote

I read this for school so it felt like I was forced into reading it. However, I surprisingly enjoyed it. It was intriguing and Capote did a great job at catching the readers' attention. Yes it was going slow at the beginning. But halfway through the book, i couldn't let go of the book. You will go through emotions you necessarily would never feel for criminals. I felt slight empathy for Perry, but I keep reminding myself this was based on a true crime. I think this is one of the reasons why I truly loved Capote's writing. He wrote a non-fiction book in a unique way.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 37%.
I am a hater. Anyone who gave this book a 5 star needs more than therapy. I don't understand the way tiktok romanticized this book. There are so many moments on this book (I only read 37% too). That just made me want to smack the author. WHAT WAS THAT.

Firstly, The writing style is terrible, it felt like a wattpad book written by a 12 year old that just found out what 'hot bad-boys' meant. I guessed she mixed up 'bad-boys' and 'harassing-boys'.

The main character has the mindset of a 12 year old, I know some people can have trauma that can cause them to act younger than what they are but this is so bad like WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE THIS.

There are so many unrealistic things in this book that just make no sense.

The main guy's mindset is so bad. He firstly, sexualizes everything, he had this fantasy of 'ruining' her just because she was innocent in a weird fetishizing way, like go and fuck a child you weirdo.

"watching you play with that thing in your mouth, all I can think about is you sucking my dick,"
she was eating candy you pervert, who says that.

When does respect ever come into that question for me? Not that I degrade girls for sport, but they're just... there. To talk to and to kiss and to fuck. That's it

This is the guy you guys are calling perfect??

And it does get worse, he groped her and touched when she was telling him to let go. He kept saying 'I know you like it'... she's literally telling you to let go.

I believe every woman has the right to say no - even Wren. I was just fucking with her at lunch

wow.

He does dumb shit to women but when it came to wren he wanted to give her more respect (which is literally non-existent) because he finds her hot. Whenever he looks at her he only mentions her body instead of personality.

There is so much more but every time I think about it, it makes me frustrated. I never put so much effort into writing a review. I am doing this to warn y'all, this book is WACK.

I really loved Gus and this book. It took me around a month to finish it, which is sadly not a good thing but recently I have been so unmotivated to read anything.

This may have spoilers but idk

I have read a book by Mia Sheridan and it is actually my favorite book ever, so I was really excited to try a different book written by her. At first the book was AMAZING, and it suddenly just sped up and fell out of depth. He was kidnapped and had a lot of trauma, and then the trauma just suddenly disappeared?? He had major problems with being physical with anyone, and then he was the one that touched her first after few chapters with no struggles whatsoever as if he didn't have them, this just felt a bit unrealistic. Then they went into a relationship really quickly. I also wanted to see them heal both of their trauma together, but I am glad that she figured it out on her own. The book slowed down for more than 10 chapters and then suddenly BOOM. the last few chapters went by too fast. I really tried to love this book, and I have seen how many good ratings it had. But it's not my thing, I hoped it would be more like Archer's voice. Maybe in a few months or years I will read it again and appreciate it more.

ohh emmm geeee.

My bestie forced me to read this book so at first I wasn't that interested in it. I loved the plot
although i really would have loved a sequel to Oliver finding James
. I did think they acted kinda acted goofy when they start speaking Shakespearean un-ironically to each other, but i felt like i can't say anything since I really was never a theatre kid so idk what they do. There are some unrealistic moments in the book that felt bland or weird. BUTTTTTT I loved it in the end. It was slow but amazing. AND I HATED HOW THE RELATIONSHIPS WERE SOOO HSUKFJYVFJSFSS. I would rage to my best-friend about wanting ** and * to be together. I liked it, a lot. Not my thing but I truly loved it.
