The Crescent Moon Tearoom by Stacy Sivinski

A story about three sisters afraid to forge their own path and untangle their very intertwined lives. As each sister starts down their own path, they experience guilt of veering away from their sisters as well as grief from the lose of their parents. The magical house is such a beautiful touch. It was honestly my favorite character next to Tabitha, the time traveling cat. There were so many cute magical tidbits hidden in this book that it made you want to slow down and absorb all those little bits. It had a comfy, cozy, slower pace that we all need sometimes to just slow down and enjoy a good book. It was a quicker read, and I do wish that the story was either longer and gave more depth to each sister or really dove into the focus being more on Anne. This, I feel, would have given it more character development. The way the story is, it is nice to see each sisters perspective and does tie the knot in the bow at the end of the story. This really was a cute, witchy read.

I read this for book club. It is one of my fathers favorite books and I wanted to love it. I just didn't. I found it slow and dry (pun intended). I understand why people love it, but it was not for me.

A quick, short, fantasy/Sci Fi read. I loved the way this was written. I was also happy that the FMC got to have her own story and show her strength without having a love interest. I was a little nervous about there being a gross age gap (of the ancient kind) romance in this, but was happily proven wrong. If you look at my book history and see all the Smutty romance novels, that statement might seem a bit out of place. However, some stories do not need the romance and this was one of them. The plot line kept my attention and I loved the characters.

This was a great fantasy, college age, finding yourself book with a good plot. I liked the take on the houses, and that each house was different with their clubhouse. I also really liked that the FMC was different, and was finding her confidence and her own path throughout the book. She had to really step up and face her demons (or dead people) and had to make her own decisions.

I know people give this book bad reviews for some writing errors or facts about almost all MMCs being military or military affiliated. There are some towns where there is a heavier percentage of military men. So while this might not be accurate for everywhere around the US, I'm sure there is a town that fits the bill. I was recommended this through r/preppers. So this being a conservatively written book was kind of a given for me. I love apocalypse books and I think there is a lot to learn from this novel.

I love a good end of the world, dystopian novel. This was recommended to me and I have to say it was perfect. I thought it was a unique approach to a apocalypse caused by a virus.

This was a very interesting book that combined three stories that had intertwining themes of early polar exploration. Having the book divided into three well written and well researched stories really kept me captivated. I learned so much from this while also being entertained.

I loved this. Age gap, grumpy/sunshine, nanny, and single dad. This had all the good tropes wrapped up in a rugged cowboy small town romance. The dirty talk was on fire. The love story was amazing. TBH, there was not much plot to this. I think the only reason to read it is for the romance. But the love story is just as good as the spice. For the missing plot points, I don't think I could give it five stars. There was so much untapped potential with the ex-wife for a more developed plot. However, I have a soft spot in my heart for the way the HEA played out. It just makes me so happy. There were so many one-liners in this book that I feel like will fly through my head for the next week or so randomly. I will be adding this to my reread list.

I saw this book suggested multiple times on the romance books subreddit. It lived up to all the hype. 5 out of 5 for spice. I loved how this was clearly a spicy monster romance, but there was such a sweet side to the relationship. I will be reading this again in the future. Highly recommend.
Bull Moon Rising by Ruby Dixon

I loved this book (with a few minor issues). The characters were great, strong female lead, but Hawk also held his own and was so masculine that it truly worked. I loved how she was educated and headstrong but also very aware of her station in this world. She was hopeful and eager for love that she was never granted prior. The spice was great, and I loved how there was an actual countdown to the spiciest spice. I wanted to scream at Aspeth so many times for not being truthful to the one whom she should have trusted the most. But I think that added to the suspense and kept me eagerly reading and wanting more.
Issues:
-I don't understand how they got out of the tunnel collapse. Something about the chalk being the reason. It didn't make sense. I reread it. It did not click for me. I just ignored it and moved on.
-The ring was not glowing when Gwenna took it, when they left the tunnels with it originally in Gwenna's possession, or anytime in the dark at the nest. It suddenly glowed in the tunnel after the collapse. Not during their entrapment. Maybe it needed to be within a certain distance of the other matching ring? But even that has issues.
-The ending was not to my liking. I know Ruby Dixon for Ice Planet Barbarians, where those stories end in pregnancies. I wanted a Taurian-Human baby. While I didn't like the ending in that aspect, I did like the path that Aspeth chose in the end. But still, I wanted a baby. I'm a bit disappointed in that.
