I LOVE Zoe and Nixon!
I am finally getting around to reading the last book in this series. I read the first 2 when they came out but this has been sitting in my want to read since October and it was definitely worth the wait to read.
Nixon just got out of rehab and his manager assigns Zoe to look after him and make sure he does not get into any trouble. Normally, the two have strict boundaries about not sleeping with people they work with but soon those lines are blurred when they start to fall for one another. Nixon has his own demons to deal with and does not want Zoe to see the real him. When all Zoe does is want to see Nixon healthy.
I loved this book and very sad to see that the series is over. I have never read anything of Rebecca's but after this I will have to look into her other stuff.

Muses and Melodies is the third book in the Hush Note series, written by Rebecca Yarros. Lies and Lullabies by Sarina Bowen is the first in the series - where we meet the band and follow Jonas’ story. Next up is Rifts and Refrains by Devney Perry, with Quinn, the beautiful drummer, and now Muses and Melodies with Nixon the guitarist ... and oh boy, Nixon, he is a devilish, tortured soul who will pull on your heart strings with his dirty smile and tattoos!

“She was a colour-coded, alphabetised checklist with no sense of humour, and I had half a mind to tell her to drink the damned thing herself if it would help dislodge the stick from her incredible ass.”

Zoe Shannon is sent in to ‘babysit’ Nixon for six months after a stint in rehab. Working for the band’s management company, Zoe has plans and goals and is determined to get to where she wants to be, managing her own band, and she will not let Nixon ruin this for her.

“I might not like the guy, but I wasn’t blind. He was pretty much a walking, talking advertisement for sex and bad decisions.”

Nixon is the guitarist of Hush Note and has had demons within for a long time. His band mates know it, he knows it, so he hides the pain with alcohol and drugs. What he doesn’t want is someone watching every move he makes, yet here is Zoe. And what a story these two make together.

Rebecca Yarros has written a beautiful love story, with pain and sorrow and smiles and laughter, of music and friendship and fighting against the hurt. The chemistry between Zoe and Nixon is off the charts, and it’s a delicious anticipation for the reader of hoping what is to come. Rebecca Yarros writes from the heart, and weaves the words together magically, creating a romance I seriously could not put down. This is a must-read for lovers of romance, those who enjoy rock star romances, with sass, sarcasm and steam! A 5 star read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recommend reading all 3 books in the series, together they create the fabulous story of Hush Note.

I received an early copy of this book. This is an honest review and all opinions are my own.

**I received an arc for a honest review.⁣

I didn't know that I needed this series until I finished it. Wow! Now I'm wishing there was more than 3 members in the band. Lol This book was so raw, and painful, but it was so beautiful. I cried a few times. This is my first read by Rebecca, and I'm surprised I haven't read her sooner. Looking up her backlist!⁣

When Nixon was first introduced in Lies and Lullabies, I was so intrigued by him. He was such a broken man that he turned to drugs, alcohol, and sex to get rid of his demons. He's always craving for the adrenaline. Zoe was the assistant of Hush Notes manager. She was sassy, feisty, and a strong heroine. There was a moment that I couldn't help but bawled my eyes with her. The minute Nixon got out of rehab, she was assigned to be with him 24/7. He's always liked Zoe, but he knows she's too good for him so he never made a move. Those banters was everything! The steamy scenes was totally hot. With Nixon's past, he needs someone who would love him enough to overlook his demons. Zoe was perfect for him. ⁣

The way how Rebecca wrote their love story was so perfectly done. It was tugging at my heart throughout the whole book. Love it so freaking much. I highly, highly recommend you to read the series. It's only 3 books, and they are so worth it!! ⁣

I thoroughly enjoyed these characters. Nixon and Zoe perfectly balanced each other. Their story gave the perfect ending to the Hush Note series.
