The audio bored me, so I might try another time with my eyeballs.

Nixon and Zoe. Lead guitarist for Hush Note and the assistant manager to the band.
He's got demons and copes with alcohol and drugs. He needs to stay sober. If she can keep him sober, she'll get her own band to manager.

Yarros has quickly become one of my favourite authors and this is another good one from her. Not my favourite, but still enjoyable. I loved reading the journey of Nixon and Zoe getting past each other’s walls, building trust, and ultimately fall in love. Both characters are enjoyable in their own, but even more enjoyable together as they navigate their situation.
This is the third book in the Hush Note series, but the only one I’ve read. I don’t think not having read the others takes away from this book, nor will this story ruin the others for me.

Rebecca Yarros knows how to write an angsty, sexy romance that is both smartly 3 dimensional with character development and plot. I was looking forward to reading Nixon's story. Once I found out where Zoe Shannon was from- I gasped... let's just say if you've read Yarros' other books you will be delighted.
This book exceeded my expectations. The mystery of why Nixon struggled with sobriety especially in the summer is answered gradually. After all, some men just shut down the part of their mind where their troublesome memories are stored and stubbornly refuse to open that door. It isn't easy for Zoe to push through the marshmallow exterior to get to the truth.
Nixon gives some of himself until he can't give more, which would be ok if someone from his past doesn't barge back into his somewhat settled life to threaten the peace he found. I loved every moment of the book, even the painful parts because Yarros is such a gifted writer. What a splendid end to this series. If this is your first Yarros book, you must read her Flight & Glory series!!

Ugh. Formulaic is not something I wanted to see in her novels, but they are almost all the same. Makes me sad and couldn’t even finish.

It’s a cute story but super predictable and I got bored towards the end.
