Muses & Melodies by Rebecca Yarros

5.0

Muses and Melodies is the third book in the Hush Note series, written by Rebecca Yarros. Lies and Lullabies by Sarina Bowen is the first in the series - where we meet the band and follow Jonas’ story. Next up is Rifts and Refrains by Devney Perry, with Quinn, the beautiful drummer, and now Muses and Melodies with Nixon the guitarist ... and oh boy, Nixon, he is a devilish, tortured soul who will pull on your heart strings with his dirty smile and tattoos!

“She was a colour-coded, alphabetised checklist with no sense of humour, and I had half a mind to tell her to drink the damned thing herself if it would help dislodge the stick from her incredible ass.”

Zoe Shannon is sent in to ‘babysit’ Nixon for six months after a stint in rehab. Working for the band’s management company, Zoe has plans and goals and is determined to get to where she wants to be, managing her own band, and she will not let Nixon ruin this for her.

“I might not like the guy, but I wasn’t blind. He was pretty much a walking, talking advertisement for sex and bad decisions.”

Nixon is the guitarist of Hush Note and has had demons within for a long time. His band mates know it, he knows it, so he hides the pain with alcohol and drugs. What he doesn’t want is someone watching every move he makes, yet here is Zoe. And what a story these two make together.

Rebecca Yarros has written a beautiful love story, with pain and sorrow and smiles and laughter, of music and friendship and fighting against the hurt. The chemistry between Zoe and Nixon is off the charts, and it’s a delicious anticipation for the reader of hoping what is to come. Rebecca Yarros writes from the heart, and weaves the words together magically, creating a romance I seriously could not put down. This is a must-read for lovers of romance, those who enjoy rock star romances, with sass, sarcasm and steam! A 5 star read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recommend reading all 3 books in the series, together they create the fabulous story of Hush Note.

I received an early copy of this book. This is an honest review and all opinions are my own.
