Wow I don't have words other than just wow. I will never be able to look at Peter Pan and the Lost Boys the same way ever again and I don't think I want to because Pan, Vane, Kas, and Bash are so hot. This book is such a mix of love, lust, and darkness that melds so well together. Nikki St. Crowe did a wonderful job with this book and I'm already listening to book two as I type this review. I can't wait to read more for Nikki. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves retellings and dark romance.

This book is both hot and sweet wrapped up in a great plot with likable characters.  I saw one video on Tiktok about this where an author read it then explained the plot of the book to her husband to see if on her description alone if he would read it or not and while he said no she totally sold me on having to read this book at once.  I was never more thankful than finding the audiobook on my hoopla.  Jacob Morgan and Elena Wolfe did an amazing job narrating this book and bringing Navessa Allen's characters to life.  I've never been a dark romance reader but I believe Navessa Allen has changed my entire world with this book.  The way Navessa so easily mixed dark romance with a sweet wholesome romance so seamlessly is almost unbelievable and I'm not entirely sure what type of witchcraft she performed to bring this to life but I cannot wait to read more for Navessa.  I will definitely be rereading this book and have already preordered the second book in this trilogy.  I highly recommend this to everyone and anyone who wants something hot, sweet, and blush-worthy.

Wow I don't know what to say except wow! I didn't really read much into this book before I started it I only knew that it was a horror novel about a conversion camp and knew I had to read it. I was so thoroughly surprised with how good this book was considering all I knew about Chuck Tingle was that he wrote other books that were satire erotica that had hilarious titles and covers. I loved the found family aspect of this book and I never saw the twist of what was actually going on with Camp Damascus so I was pleasantly surprised by it when it was revealed what they were actually doing. This book quickly became one of my top reads for 2024 and I can't wait to read more of this genre from Chuck Tingle.

I absolutely love this graphic novel so much.  I had been meaning to read it on Webtoons for so long so when I saw it on Netgalley as Volume 1 as a graphic novel I just knew I needed it.  The artwork is beautiful and the story is so cute.  I love the character development that is happening not only with the main characters but with side characters as well.  I cannot wait to read Volume 2 to find out what happens next.  I will definitely be purchasing the physical copies of this for my shelves because I know having them in print is going to be so beautiful.  Keep up the amazing work Purpah this is a wonderful story with characters you can't help but fall in love with.

***Thanks to Netgalley and Clarkson Potter/Ten Speed Press for the ARC of this graphic novel.  While I received this in exchange for a review all words and thoughts are 100% my own and not swayed by this fact.***

*Thanks to Image Comics and Netgalley for an ARC of this graphic novel.  All words and thoughts in this review are my own and not swayed by receiving this in exchange for a review.*

I wasn't exactly sure what I was expecting when going into this novel but I'm sure glad now that I requested it on Netgalley.  I've always had a fascination with cults and the satanic panic of the 80s and 90s and I'm not sure if it's just because I grew up in the deep south during that time period so it was all everyone in my small town talked about and the fact that my childhood revolved around what my grandparent's believed would and would not push me towards satan or if it's just a curiosity of how people can be swindled into believing these things but whatever it is it's not going away.

I really loved the storyline of this novel and the fact that it jumped back and forth each chapter from present to past giving you the context that you needed to understand what was going on.  I also really liked Natalie the main character.  While I could see how some could dislike her disposition I feel like because of what she did as a child it shaped how she was as an adult and that she wanted to separate herself from the world and therefore people so she would not impact anyone else's life the way she did back then.

I had my suspicions that there was something up with one of the characters, I won't say which one to avoid spoilers, but I wasn't fully certain of it until it was revealed so koodoos to the authors for that.  I also really loved the illustration style of this novel.  I felt the color scheme used put you in the melancholy dark place that you need to be to fully imerse yourself in the story and connect with the characters and what's going on.  The only thing that I felt was unnecessary in this was the sex scene and that's not because I have anything against sex scenes it just felt un-needed and I feel like the story would have played out just the same without it.  All in all I will definitely be looking for more to read from these authors.

This book was called Thriller but it was anything but thrilling. Yes I read it in one sitting but that’s only because the stories are pretty short but man getting through some of them was a rough ride and I had to force myself to finish this book. I will usually DNF a book I’m not enjoying but with anthologies/short story collections I try to finish them even if I’m not enjoying myself because there are good stories mixed in with the horrible ones. There were a few stories in here I enjoyed but the majority of them were extreme letdowns.

I don’t really know where to start with this book. As a love of short story collections, especially those in the horror realm, I always know I’m not going to love every single story included so I wasn’t expecting to enjoy every single one of these. However I felt like the majority of these stories felt hurriedly thrown together and like not much thought went into them and their authors just wrote something subpar just to have it included in the book. Now there were three stories in here that will stick with me that were very well written and gave me a lot to think about. Not sure if I will be recommending this to anyone I know or not I feel like if someone is specifically looking for something like this I may but other than that I don’t believe is recommend it.

I’ve listened to MrCreepyPasta since he started his YouTube channel and don’t know how I never knew he came out with short story collections!  I have been absolutely engrossed in this book since starting it to the point that I was so into it I jumped when my phone went off alerting me to a text. This collection compiles a wonderful selection of stories that make you wonder which are true and which are make believe. Like with all short story collections there were a few I didn’t really enjoy as much but all in all this was still a 5 star read for me. Now on to Volume 2.
