***I received an ARC of Paper Ghost through netgally for an honest review.

I have been caught in a thriller mood as of late and Julia Heaberlin delivered everything that I wanted. Paper Ghost reaches out and pulled me in from the minutes I started reading. I had a hard time putting it down to finish things in my busy schedule. My only complaint is that it did get a little slow in the middle, but I had no trouble getting through it. If you want a great psychological thriller then I highly recommend checking out Paper Ghost.

I received a copy of The New Dark from Bastei Entertainment through Netgally for an honest review.

This book was a wonderful page turning adventure. I had such an enjoyable time with Sorrel. The character development was really great for me. The only issue I had with this book was that the beginning made it very, very difficult for me to get into. I'm glad I pushed though and finished it. Lorraine Thomson did a great job and I can't wait to read the rest.

I recieved a copy of Storm Crossed from Montlake Romance through Netgally for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this book. I can't decide what I love more the far realm or Trahern and his brother. The love that Trahern and Lissie share is so genuine. I will definitely be finding more of Dani Harper's work soon.

I was lucky enough to win a copy of this amazing book. The 57 Bus isn’t my normal non-fiction read, but I loved it all the same. It was gripping and eye opening. The story of Sasha and Richard will stay with me for a long time. Kudos to Dashka Slater for doing a superb job telling this story.

Winning a copy of Frankie was one of the best things this year.

Frankie’s sassy attitude and troubled life made her relatable in a way that doesn’t happen too often. I laughed. I cried. I yelled. I believe this book elicited every possible emotion from me. With unique characters and a compelling, splendid story line Shivaun Plozza hit it out of the park with this book. I’ve never been big on contemporary ya novels, but Frankie has definitely made me think twice.
Heart of the Wolf by Terry Spear

I was granted a copy of Heart of the Wolf by Terry Spear from SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca through Netgalley for an honest review.

While I'm normally a sucker for paranormal romance this book, while entertaining, just wasn't quite my cup of tea. I love a good slow burn romance, but Heart of the Wolf had me frustrated and wanting Devlyn and Bella to just hurry up and get on with it already. I was very interested and invested in the beginning of the book, but with how slow it was going I almost stopped reading it at one point. I will give Terry Spear more chances because I never dismiss an author over one book that I didn't connect with.
Book of Souls by Nadine Nightingale

My only disappointment with this book is that it came to an end. So many times I have found faults in books that disappointed me, but none came as I flew through Book of Souls. Nadine Nightingale created a world and characters that brought me back to my childhood love of all things ancient Egypt.

Nisha's hallucinations pulling you through the past and present draw the reader in. They make her question and doubt her sanity making you want to find out if this is all in her head, or if it is truly happening. Nisha is a character that you will love to watch grow as the pages turn. Not to mention her group of friends are so fiercely loyal that it will make you wish that you had them for your own. It only gets better when Blaze enters the picture and watching the handsome London native mature with the book and the connection he shares with Nisha with capture your heart and mind.

This isn't your typical YA novel. This book flows with a quality that is hard to find in most books of the YA genre. The characters are more mature than you usually see and Nadine Nightingale did an amazing job writing a book that YA lovers and non-YA lovers will love all the same. This book is absolutely perfect for mythology lovers, teens, adults, and really anyone who wants a book that will make you sad it comes to an end.
