This was an ok cozy mystery. I guessed the murderer and the motive pretty early on which I don't know if that's because I just have read enough murder mysteries to know how to figure it out or if this just wasn't that good. I still enjoyed it somewhat even though I guessed it. The characters were iffy though. Evelyn definitely acted like a spoiled rich person which was annoying

This made me tolerate Aspen a little but more. I can tell he does really love her. But I still don't really like him

The only reason this has 2 stars is because I like Amberly. I can't stand Clarkson though. He's so manipulative and such a jerk. I already hated him from the other books but this just made it worse. I wasn't even going to read this novella and I almost regret doing so

I did not like Maxon for the majority of this book but some way somehow he won back my heart and I was holding back tears in the library for last 50 ish pages. Also the king enrages me

This was one of those cheesy not very realistic romances that you can just shut off your brain for and relax and I really needed that. I downloaded this audiobook purely because I wanted something to listen to pass the time on an hour car ride. I'm not usually a big fan of audiobooks but this one was pretty good. I liked the narrator's voice and she was good at putting emotion into it

It was nice getting Maxon's pov but at the same time I really don't understand why the author felt the need to make him say certain things

To be honest I didn't really like this at first. America can be pretty annoying sometimes. I do not like Aspen at all. But once she got to the castle and got to know Maxon I was able to overlook her annoying personality. I really like Maxon and I'm pretty excited to keep reading the series because it's a fast paced mindless read. Although it definitely has a lot of flaws I expected that

I flew through this and not because it's a mindblowingly good book or anything. It's just fun and lighthearted and I really enjoyed the road trip aspect. I also liked Addie's character development. Rowan was such a sweet character. I love his personality and I really hope he's in the next book at least a little bit. Also I love Addie's relationship with her brothers especially Ian. I've always wished I had an older brother who was my best friend. I also feel like this helped me a little bit because of the theme of heartbreak. Especially when Addie said the worst part was that she didn't listen to herself and ignored the red flags. But anyways these books are fun escapism that also make my bucket list way too long

I was so excited to read this because I loved Elise Bryant's previous books. However it didn't have the same level of escapism as the previous books. I think a lot of that had to do with me loving the settings of the previous books so much. I also didn't really love Reggie as much as the guys in the previous books. I didn't like that the main problem with their relationship was that he was so dishonest with Delilah. His redemption was cute but it still didn't sit right with me. I loved Delilah though and Ryan and Leela. I will say I did like Delilah and Reggie's dynamic where they could be silly with each other and have fun. I liked the music aspect a lot too. I think honestly a reason I didn't like Reggie as much as I hoped I would is because something about him reminded me of someone in my own life and not in a good way. But that's a me problem. I also loved Georgia and even though she was younger than Delilah she was so smart and I loved their sister relationship. Charlie and Asher are complete jerks and I'm so glad Delilah realized that. I really love how much character development Delilah has in this. This book was slightly disappointing but I'm still looking forward to reading the next book this author releases.
