I am not one to read a diet book, but as I am currently trying to lower my A1C so I’m not diagnosed with diabetes in a few months, I found this book super helpful. I learned so much about exactly what it means to have a glucose spike and WHY I have them so often. The science in this book was digestible (ha) and easy to understand. I won’t be taking ALL of this advice (miss me with drinking vinegar before every meal) but a lot of it was useful.

I could not stand Andy and being in his head for 90% of the book was torture. But the last 10% was so, so good and I wish the author had focused more on Jen. What is it like to want to be single while surrounded by couples? How do you break up with someone when things aren’t BAD but they just aren’t what you want? The author had a chance to do something so interesting and instead… we had to listen to a white male comic drone on and on and on.
