This was too graphically violent for me

I liked but did not love this book. Some of the satire probably went over my head and it was really hard to like the MC. But overall, a well-written novel with an interesting message.

Such a unique story! It made me think a lot about AI and technology, and also relationships and sex and what it means to be human. This would be an excellent book club book because there is so much to discuss!

I loved the writing and getting to sink into the life of a woman and all of the people who touched her world. But it was so, so long and very sad at times, and I was ready to be done with it.

I wasn’t enjoying the story. The FMC was hard to like and the writing was a bit pedestrian.

I am so grateful that Elizabeth Comen wrote this book. It’s almost like a love letter to women, to remind us to advocate for ourselves and our bodies. It’s also an infuriating history of medicine and all the ways doctors have failed women.

Fascinating at times, dry at others. I wish the author had injected a bit more personality; there was just something about it that made it feel like she was just reciting stories with no emotion.
