My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix

This was a cute nostalgic read. If you grew up in the 80s, it will take you back in time. I listened to the songs for each chapter as I read them. It helped so much. Do not expect it to be a scary read. It’s more of a corny scary read. It has the same feel to it as the original Evil Dead movie.

I’ve read this book so many times, as a child and as an adult. It was one of my favorite books growing up.

Wow just Wow
When I started reading this I figured that it would be good. I kept hearing about it on TikTok and had to read. And this was better than I expected. It is a very short read. I was able to finish it pretty quickly. The ending though just left me in a cliffhanger. There’s so many trigger warnings, my suggestion would be to read the trigger warnings at the beginning before buying. If you’re into some deep dark romance then this is for you. I hope there will be another one!

How Does It Feel? by Jeneane O'Riley

Okay I have so many questions that I need answered after that final chapter! And I will not get the answers until February!!!!!! I actually enjoyed this book very much. I think that it was wonderfully written. There are so many twists and wow moments. At the end of chapter 29 and the beginning of chapter 30, I felt my heart hit my stomach. That has never happened to me when I’ve read a book before. My heart literally sank. At that moment you feel for the villain of the story. And by the end of the book the good character of the book is no longer the good character. And the bad character is no longer the bad guy! This is great story telling!

I remember when I was younger I watched a movie called The Good Son. This reminded me of that movie, if it was on steroids! It was a thrill ride for sure. A family moves to a new neighborhood. The mom is a workaholic and the dad is a writer who chooses to be at home when his daughter, who is 7, is there. Since he needs to focus on his writing, he isn’t instantly phased when she befriends a new kid named Levi who is 9. But it’s hard for him to focus on writing when you have this little psycho boy running around with your child. He hangs a cat, he hits the guys daughter with a mallet, he tells his mom lies in hopes that he will get the dad in trouble, and he even tells the man he’s going to do whatever he wants to do. He’s a pure psychotic brat. And when the dad, Craig tries to tell his wife or police, they don’t believe him! This kid is the master manipulator. It reminds me so much of that movie I saw when I was younger.

Even though I had not read the first book, this was still extremely good. Now I will go get the first book to read. This is a great creepy mystery. With twists and turns at every corner. You have no idea what is coming next. It keeps you on the edge of your seat like a thriller almost. I cannot wait to see more in this series.
