Just Stay Away by Tony Wirt

5.0

I remember when I was younger I watched a movie called The Good Son. This reminded me of that movie, if it was on steroids! It was a thrill ride for sure. A family moves to a new neighborhood. The mom is a workaholic and the dad is a writer who chooses to be at home when his daughter, who is 7, is there. Since he needs to focus on his writing, he isn’t instantly phased when she befriends a new kid named Levi who is 9. But it’s hard for him to focus on writing when you have this little psycho boy running around with your child. He hangs a cat, he hits the guys daughter with a mallet, he tells his mom lies in hopes that he will get the dad in trouble, and he even tells the man he’s going to do whatever he wants to do. He’s a pure psychotic brat. And when the dad, Craig tries to tell his wife or police, they don’t believe him! This kid is the master manipulator. It reminds me so much of that movie I saw when I was younger.

I won this ebook through a Goodreads giveaway. My review is my honest opinion.
