Men Without Women: Stories by Haruki Murakami
4.0
I liked it. All the stories flowed well. I've heard of Haruki Murakami for a while now, but this was the first thing I've read by him. My favorite story is tired between the guy who befriended the man his wife was cheating on him with and the story about the cat.

I liked this a lot. It was a cute read. It was interesting to see little bits of Korean mythology. I wish there was more of it though. It was cute, and I would recommend if you aren't a literature "buff/snub/ect". If you don't mind things being a little messy and want like a fluffy read I'd recommend this.
The Walking Dead: Compendium 2 by Robert Kirkman

It has so many outrageous, tragic and awesome storylines. It also stops right before the biggest moment in walking dead. Man.
Circe by Madeline Miller

I liked this more then the Song of Archilles. I really hope Madeline Miller writes more within the mythology. She fleshed out the character so much. It was a lot of fun to read.
I bought this on a sale but got to use it for Bookmarked Bookclub and a prompt for Hocus Pocus Readthon "A witchy main character."

The magic book is calling you #HocusPocusReadathon
This was cute. It’s a middle grade read. The idea is really cool. For a middle grade, I do think there are some fantasy and magical things maybe kids wouldn’t understand what they are without definitions. However, it’s not so complicated to figure out. If you read enough fantasy it’s nice not having to be explained everything. I like that the songs in the book are actually important. Too many books just throw in songs for fillers. I liked the idea. However, it wasn’t anything special. Maybe, it’s because I’m older than the demographic or maybe cause the plot as been done before (or a lot).

City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare

I did not enjoy this at all. Clary and Jace are so damn annoying. I like the idea of the universe. I thought City of Bones was ok. However, I am unsure if I'll finish the series. However, something about the universe keep Cassandra Clare so loved right?
Once Upon a Dream by Liz Braswell

This was written better than the first book, A Whole New World. The story made more sense and the writing over all was an improvement. I liked that they used demons in this. However, the last 150 were just meh. I lost interest and was ready to get it over with. The first part up to that point was fun.
The Grief Keeper by Alexandra Villasante

This book took a different direction then I assumed from reading from the back of the book. It was a pleasant surprised. I liked reading a book about 2 girls from El Salvador trying to find asylum and another girl with PTSD.
The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe

I really enjoyed this. It's just lightly creepy in the way the narrator is trying to prove his sanity.

I feel like they should've just left the story alone.
