This story was exciting. Rowen and BeLew- from the beginning- had my attention and were super fun to learn more about with each turn of a page.

I loved BeLew as a whole- they’re super funny and adorable. They’re probably my favorite kids in a book ever. They’re so smart, funny, and well put together. Learning more about them

Rowen was amazing-and stayed a constant favorite for me. She became a mother to the boys and even saved Sams life. And their relationship- was SO CUTE. I love how close Lori and Rowen got as friends. They got super close, despite the situation and I got the vibes that they were like sisters.

Dean was definitely the most hated character for me. He was super mean and crappy- to everyone. He sounds like a spoiled brat that just didn’t get the things he wanted- and made everyone’s life hell. But Sam- hot damn I loved him!!! He was rough. He was smart. He was exciting!!! He was such an amazing “father” to BeLew and was an amazing “husband” to Rowen.

Oh my gosh. Charlie and Nora are definitely my new favorite book couple. Their enemies to lovers romance was ADORABLE. The emails & texts back and forth made it seem super modern and real.

Nora has a love of the city. Her city- New York. She’s a book agent, with a passion for editing, and she’s a shark. She doesn’t mess around, she’s focused on work and her sister, and she never lets someone mess with her.

Nora and Libby’s relationship as sisters was super cute. I love how close they were and how much Nora tries for Libby. Nora may have overstepped a few boundaries, but all out of love and care. But Libby’s idea for the trip was super cute and I loved it. Makes me want to do a bucket list for every vacation 😂😅

Charlie and Nora getting to work together on a project, was super funny. Their banter and comments were hilarious. Charlie was nothing like how the first few chapters made him seem and I loved getting to learn about our small town man. This book is definitely worth the hype.

I have officially found a new fav retelling- this one- Persephone & Hades, a Beauty and the Beast type of love- AND OMG it was amazing. Beautiful.

I loved getting to read about Liz and Marius so much. It was a bit weird because my nickname is Liz as well, but it made the book more touching for me. I cannot wait for the author to continue their love story- definitely going to read it!

Jane is such a badass, empowering woman. Especially for the time period. She is always trying her best and is always trying to do what she thinks will get her further in her career.

Tommie and Jane’s friendship was such a wonderful one. Tommie seemed to really need a friend- just like Jane- and they both just clicked together for me. Frank was definitely an amazing character and I love every detail we learn about him.

The things Jane is able to uncover, learn and think about were PHENOMENAL. She lets her “reporter brain” lead the way and never stops until she gets the information she wants. She’s like a freaking spy.

The novel takes place in 1939- and the language and speech definitely showed that! It wasn’t all proper speech and such- it definitely made the novel easier to fall into.

For anyone looking for a great read- with a female protagonist that never gives up on her dreams- no matter what- look no further!

This novel lived up to every expectation I had for it. The relationship between Achilles and Patroclus was such a beautiful one and their relationship blossomed BEAUTIFULLY. Achilles turned into the character I knew he would. But the ending- I didn’t expect it whatsoever.

Patroclus narrates the entire novel from his point of view. His narration of events towards the end/last 100 pages were probably my favorite. His emotions were so strong, he had such amazing phrasing as well. It felt almost like a diary or he was telling me in person about these events and the relationship him and Achilles has. I grew to love him so much- as if he was a best friend from my childhood.

Achilles was such a stubborn character. I had a hard time liking him once the war started, but before that- he was like a little brother. An smart ass one- but nonetheless a little brother. He strived so hard to be a good prince and to show love for everyone- I mean he friended Patroclus when he didn’t have to or have any need to. Their love was sweet -but every couple has their trials.

I definitely recommend this novel. For anyone who wants a beautiful love story.

This book lived up to the expectations I had set for it. We get a dual perspective throughout the book- and a new perspective during the epilogue (which I loved). I loved Margot’s character. She never took no for an answer and she always stayed true to what she was doing. Even after she went through some rough patches after moving back in with her uncle Luke.

I loved getting Krissy’s POV. I think it added so much to the novel and really helped tie in everything else. Krissy’s character did make me upset in the beginning- but as I read on I ended up feeling so sympathetic for her. I don’t agree with her decisions- but still my heart hurts.

The reason this got a 4star is because I felt as if especially in the beginning- it was as if she was tying real life cases into the novel and it felt too forced and fake.

But I am glad I stuck it through and finished because the twist in the end- was jaw dropping.
I didn’t expect any of the ending. It was honestly CRAZY. I also do wish we got more of an explanation in the ending before the epilogue.

I read this book last year, around thanksgiving, and I fell in love with it!! I loved the way it played out and the growth of characters.
