It was annoying, the writing. Like. The main character had such annoying thoughts. Nothing special with this book, I was looking forward to reading it too.

ngl it was actually a nice read but the main character being a cop ruined a lot of scenes for me.

Is it just me or did we spend more time on the side characters than the romance and main characters?  This book was barely romance. And even the romance part wasn't that great. It felt like they got together right when we were finally about to see how they would work together. Delilah had a more developed relationship with Ruby, Claire's daughter, than Claire herself. Delilah and Claire as individual characters were great! But when they're together, it was just... dull. I liked the first part of this book, the scene with Claire hitting on Delilah; and them on the breakfast thingy where Delilah helped Ruby with the dress and she capture that little moment with Ruby and Claire. So I was excited to see how their relationship would progress from there but it... didn't. Claire and Delilah always interacted like something was holding them back (and there was, a lot) so I wished that at least the conflict with Astrid and Delilah was resolved earlier so we got to see Claire and Delilah actually spend time with each other with at least one less thing weighing in on their mind.

Speaking of conflicts, I hatedddd the conflicts in this book because it took way too much time we could've spent on building Delilah and Claire's relationship. Claire and Josh, Delilah and Astrid (and Isabela), Ruby and Claire, Spencer and Astrid, and many more. As I said, Claire and Delilah as individual people were great but I didn't really see the chemistry between them as a couple. It felt like this book did more telling than showing.

Overall, good but underwhelming book and I'm so excited for Astrid's book since she was focused a lot in this book that I saw myself liking her more than Claire and Delilah in a few scenes.

I'm offended Goodreads still has to ask how many stars I rate this. I would rate this a 10/5 stars if I could.

Anyway, two days and one bucket of tears later, I finally finished it. This book was something else. I can't remember the last time I cried over a book---or any media---this hard. I feel refreshed actually. Like, where do I even start? The first paragraph already did it for me. I just picked this up for fun and was only going to read the first chapter because I needed a break from another book. But then one chapter became two, two became three. Next thing I knew, I was sobbing, the tears wouldn't stop. And then the epilogue. Finishing a book have never been more painful. It felt like I was saying goodbye to people that have been with me my whole life even though I was only really with them for two days, not even 24 hours I think. I hope this book gains more attention, I just want everyone to also experience Luke and Landon's love story, Luke and Emmet's way back to each other's life, Emmet and Bowen's friendship, and everything else I fail to mention because this book was a lot. Every chapter there was a scene that hit me so close to home it was a wonder why I wasn't crying throughout the whole book. I legit had to put it down because I couldn't stop my tears when I got to the last few chapters.

In conclusion, everyone should read You & Me because it might also change you as a person.

Wow, I don't even know where to start this review. I'm just... at loss for words after that ending. I had to put this book down every 5 chapters or so because I was so overwhelmed with emotions; both happy ones and sad ones.

Mickey's struggle with depression just hit so close to home with everything that's going on in the world right now. Jaysen was amazing but I would've punched anyone for a chance to read one chapter with his POV.
I was so excited for Mickey to go meet Jaysen's family and almost ripped my hair out when it got cancelled. I reread the last few paragraphs over and over in hopes that we finally found out who got first place (look, the last line was romantic as FUCK but the book hyped that subplot so much okay).
The minor polyamorous couple made me scream. The family relationship was amazing. The friendships more so.

In conclusion, this book is a great read and made me ugly cry and I hope everyone who reads this feels the same because it's just *chef's kiss*.

I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying. This was such a funny, cute, adorable book. I couldn't help but smile every other paragraph. The found (queer) family trope, the miscommunication trope that was funny and wasn't as annoying as it could've been, the characters, the plot. I saw one review that said "This would be Merlin if the creators were brave enough to make them get together" and I agree a 100%. There were flaws in this book I'm sure but it was such a perfect read to me since it's been a while since I read anything YA and I forgot how fun it could be to just read about teenagers being dumb.

Another thing that contributed a lot to my overflowing love for this book is that I read the other author's work "In Deeper Waters" and I didn't really like that so going into this I was not expecting much. After the first chapter, I knew I had something I would end up loving in my hands. I was nervous that it would end up being bad halfway through, speaking from experience, and it did NOT. Thank the book gods.

With all that said, I'm looking forward to reading another one of F.T. Lukens books.

The writing is so boring. I'd finish it but it's a 5-part series. I don't wanna die from boredom no thanks. I might pick this up again. I might not.
