I'm going to recommend The Marriage Hex to book club, and even if they don't want to read it, I'm rereading this masterpiece ASAP *swoon*

The Twisted Throne indeed 😏

I wasn't sure what to expect for TBK5 but I was pleasantly surprised.

The start and ending of this was 😘👌🏻 chef's kiss, but I did get a little bored during the middle there.

I'm really excited to see where the story goes next—wouldn't be mad if there were more books (novellas) in TBK world—and I'm KEEN for the enemies *enemies* to lovers to begin 😈

Dear Monster Claus was definitely promising but fell short for me...

While there were some fun scenes throughout 🌶🌶 the writing style / structure made it difficult for me to enjoy the rest of the book with it's little plot (no complaints; there for the vibes)

If anything, I'm more interested in seeing what happened between Pryo (Arson's brother) and Valentine (Xó's brother) 😏

I saw someone tweet this book and was like 😍😍😍 so I bought it lol

This hardcover alone gets ⭐️ 5 stars ⭐️

Black sprayed edges with a red textured cover? Yes please!

The stories are also cute!

Okay, this had the potential of being a quick and entertaining read (listen) but the audiobook IMO brought it down a bunch 🥴

While I think both narrators had amazing voices, I don't think they worked well together, much less in the setting of Sun of a Beach.

I personally found the FMC's voice to be too casual and rushed—like someone venting to their friend in a cafe or something—and the MMC's voice from a different time period... basically old lol but not.

Think... Latinx (modern) Sex in the City vs. an old witch from the Originals, COMPLETELY DIFFERENT VIBES 😭

Again, great voices on their own but not for this.

As for the Sun of a Beach story itself... the enemies to lovers / workplace rivals didn't work for the 11-ish chapters it had and most of the dialogue (if not all) was low-key cringe but that could've been the audiobook performance 🤕

If anything the "romance" should've been hate to love / workplace rivals / insta love vibes... like we haven't seen each other since the "last time" and I hate to like you but loveeee to hate you, ya know? 👀

idk what I was expecting from this—other than some fire fighter stuff and maybe some action—but The Roommate Pact had me in my feels !!! 🥺

Apparently this was originally titled "Letters to Claire" and I think if Allison Ashley went with that, I would've of been bawlinggggg my eyes out even more 😭

I really loved the friendship to romance between Claire and Graham; it took me a few attempts to get into The Roommate Pact but after the initial hurdle, it was so so so worth it.

When the two of them went to visit Graham's parents 😭😭😭

This was a great surprise of a book 💞

Okay technically, technically, I've already marked all the books in this audiobook / series as read but...

1. It was hurting my soul when I couldn't just tick them off as I went so... I did? 😜
and, 2. It makes sense on Story Graph with its review system—moods, pacing, questions, etc.—so don't worry! lol

The double ups will even out on my rereads because I'll definitely be doing this series again! 😘

This series absolutely snuck up on me 💘

I initially put off listening to The Runaways because of its intimidating duration but after getting the ball rolling—each story is 15 chapters long plus epilogues—I loved every second of it !!!

So much so that I've already bought all 5 audiobooks (separately) as I finished them 🥰

The ending made me cry; it was such a beautiful ending 🥺 I hope we can see the Runaways again + all their babies grown up in the future.
