Judgment Road by Christine Feehan

Feehan has done an interesting job with this one. It is technically the first book in the series, though there are characters from her other series that are also in this book. It is a great start and it will be interesting to see where she goes with this series.

Personally, I thought this book was a nice introduction to a new series. It has made me anxious for the next installments. At times, this book was funny, heartbreaking, annoying, fun, action-y, and sexy; it was the whole rainbow of emotions, which is something I am always looking for.

I have read reviews where readers are complaining about a particular scene, but I would not let this define the whole book. While I was not happy about what happened, I understand it was a pivotal point in the book that influenced a lot of what happened next.
Lure of Oblivion by Suzanne Wright

I love all of Suzanne Wright's books, but this one is my favorite! To be fair, I say that each time a new book of hers comes out. As the third book in this series, I really impressed that they keep getting better (sometimes its just hard to make the next books as great as the first one).

You can always rely on Wright to provide a well-rounded story with romance, sexiness, fantasy, great characters, and a great plot.

If you know Wright, you know her books are all about the supernatural world, set in our human world. Despite this overlapping, humans are not much in her books; if they are, it's usually as enemies. Finally, though, Wright has introduced a human character who is not only likeable, but is also the heroine!

Gwen, the human heroine, was amazing! Her love of wolves and interest in shifters, in general, is really relatable. Who wouldn't want to be a shifter? Or part of a pack, pride, or flock? In some way, if we are reading Wright's stories, we are interested in the supernatural world, right? Well, so is our Gwennie.

The one thing I would like to note as a not so positive thing is the plot. Although I liked the plot, and I believe it is the best way Wright could introduce a human heroine, I found it to be a lot like the plot of Makenna and Dante's story. There were a lot of differences, don't get me wrong - it's just that the overall arching plot of defending a loner shifter and being harassed by a spoiled rich guy, has already been used. While this does not annoy me (hence, the 5 stars), there may be readers out there who do.

Shelly Laurenston is AMAZING!!! Hot and Badgered was absolutely delightful, funny, sexy, and cute. I love the new characters Laurenston has introduced, while also seeing how the lives of favorite characters have changed. I already cannot wait for the next installment!

Bearing His Name - Eve Langlais
This one was hilarious! And, for a short book, it had a nice plot. There were hints of a previous or long-standing plot, but I do not know if it is because Langlais was trying to introduce a new world or if it was part of an ongoing series. Regardless, it can be read alone with complete understanding. What I liked most about this short story was that it actually managed to have a plot with hints of a mystery - something authors do not always do very well in short stories.

Owned By the Lion - Milly Taiden
Whoo! This story was hot, hot, hot! The hero and heroine had great and explosive chemistry. This story was a bit like a roller coaster - it was slow to start, became exhilarating and fun, then slow to end. I liked it, but it seemed like the plot went slow, even for a short story. The best part, at least for me, was the chemistry between the hero and heroine.

No Need Fur Love - Kate Baxter
Baxter was new to me and I was really impressed. Her supernatural world is one I would love to learn more about as she involves different types of supernatural creatures, not just shifters. Baxter's story was really quick. She wasted no time getting to the plot of the story. Sometimes, I felt it was too plot driven with not enough romance between the hero and heroin, but it was still a satisfying read. I would have loved to see this as a fully fleshed book.

Overall, this book was hot, funny, and interesting. I liked seeing more of Langlais and Taiden and meeting Baxter. I think pairing these three authors together was a great choice and made for a delightful and entertaining read.

AHHHH!!! I just loved this book - it was my favorite of the series by far! I felt so much for Cassie. Her love for Dante was so strong it sometimes ended up being heartbreaking for her. I equally felt for Dante' and his confusion after each of his risings. It was a very emotion ridden book - more so than the others.

Although I was a little tired of people seeming to be dead and then coming back (not the main characters though - I love it when they come back), the plot was a good one. It is partly a continuation of the previous books with new elements and people added in to make it a book of its own.

I would recommend this book for any paranormal romance fan, who loves a good plot, good characters, and good romance.

Suzanne Wright was as amazing as always! With witty characters, an interesting plot, a mystery villain, and a paranormal love - this book is sure to be a favorite for fans of Wright.

While reading the Phoenix Pack Series, I liked Trick, but I was never salivating for his story. When I realized this story was going to be Trick's, I was not super excited. Of course, because it is Suzanne Wright, I was wrong! I really loved it.

What did I love? Well, mostly it was Trick and Frankie together. They had great chemistry, were cute together, and just worked really well together overall. I know Wright uses a type of formula when it comes to her heroes and heroines, but I think she mixed it up a little with Trick and Frankie - read and find out how!

The plot was good, if simply formulaic (compared to her other stories). It seemed as if the plot took a minute to take off, but once it did, all I did was try to figure out who was the villain.

What else did I like? I liked seeing more of the other characters - they are always great. I hope Bracken's book is next, even if it is in another series.
