I was a little hesitant at the start because I was so confused about what was going on, but then… this book just sucked me in and I had to know more and more.. it’s times like these I wish I was a faster reader.
Some of this book is a bit predictable, but I still loved it. It’s a great romance novel.
I did get some ACOTAR/Feysand type vibes, probably why I loved it so much!

I love this book, but then again I love the author so.. I found a few spelling errors (it’s a fun game I like to play with myself), but I really enjoyed this story and how it played out. Can’t wait to read the next one!

3 ⭐️ and I think I’m being generous. I really enjoyed Fourth Wing, but this just wasn’t it for me. I switched from reading the physical book to listening on Audible and YouTube at 1.5x just to get through it.
I will say it picked up at around Chapter 30-something, but I was so bored for most of the book.
Honestly disappointed with the character development and how annoying Violet and Xaden became. I cared more about the banter between Tarin and Andarna than the others.
When the next book comes out I’ll probably wait for reviews and spoilers to see if it’s worth picking up, damn the sprayed edges (which don’t even get me started on how lazy that turned out to be) I’ll buy the German or Fairyloot edition, there were better anyway.

Another cute and cozy murder mystery from Juneau Black. This one was easier to figure out, but I really enjoyed it.
The only thing I wished was mentioned was if the tea set was returned to its owner, other than that I enjoyed putting the pieces together of what happened to Mrs. Julia Elkin.

4.5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rounded down:
I really enjoyed the first book in the series. It felt more like a Paranormal Romance with Regency and some Gothic vibes. I understand why there are readers that don’t like this book as it does have an age gap (think Jacob and Renesme, sp?) kinda thing going, but I enjoyed the mystery and twists at the end.
Over all I’m looking forward to reading Foxglove and hopefully it’s as interesting as Belladonna.

The follow up novel to Belladonna: I really enjoyed this one as well. It follows a dual POV, which I enjoy, and we get to follow Signa and Blythe along on this new murder mystery involving Death and Fate.
I will say it still seems more of a paranormal romance with some mystery in between, but I did enjoy the character development and plot lines, the twist at the end was great as well.
I had my suspicions about what could be going on through most of the book, looking back it seems more obvious, and I wasn’t far off from what happens.
Overall I’m looking forward to Wisteria and the development between Blythe and Fate.

I was drawn to the cover, but quickly realized it’s got nothing to do with the story inside. Overall, I enjoyed it. The banter between the male characters really made this book for me. I did notice some (what I think are) grammatical errors, but I thought it was a good story. It kept me entertained for sure.
