I feel icky.. my face was contorted into a WTF look for most of this book. I don’t think stalker romances are for me, but if you enjoy the..um..”romance” or story in general I love that for you!
It seemed this book was mostly smut (whole ass chapters of smut) and if it weren’t for that it’d probably be about half as long.
I did enjoy the mystery of the great-grandmother, Addie trying to figure out her killer, and Daya is the most sane one. Though I don’t get how she didn’t know Zade was her boss.. maybe it’s mentioned and my eyes glossed over that part.
Am I going to read the second one? Yes, because clearly I’m a glutton for punishment and my husband bought it for me soooo.. Anyway, the child sacrifice and sex trafficking stuff makes my stomach turn.. so I think more than anything-yes even despite Addie being so wishy washy on this whole SA/stalker thing, and Zade being a hypocrite-is what did me in..
Happy Reading!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5-This book was nuts! I enjoyed it even though I was so confused about the different houses the whole time everything started to make sense in the end.
Gideon if funny, Harrow is sweaty, and there are way too many characters to keep track of, but it’s a great time! Highly recommend the audio book!

**Nice slow burn fantasy romance** Fae, Sirens, Shifters
Check TW: mention of SA, some mild gore descriptions
I really enjoyed Des and Callie’s story.
She thinks he left her lol those years ago, but it was her own wish that kept her true love from her. Until the time was up and the bargainer came to collect his debts.
Ends on a cliffhanger so I’m glad the other books are available, as of this writing, for free on audible. I’m going to start the next book ASAP!

It’s better than the first book, but I still don’t care for this story. I didn’t really connect with the characters. I still like Daya, and then there’s Sibbey-she seems like a Harley Quinn rip off- so she’s a fun character to follow. (I haven’t read Satan’s Affair soooo..)
I get it’s Addie’s healing journey for the latter half of the book, but I just don’t know if I believe the timeline of her healing. The crazy sex scenes between her and Zade is what I mean. After being trafficked and raped for two plus months, I’d think it would take some serious time and effort to be able to endure that kind of “romance”.
Addie turns into a badass that hunts down her traffickers with Zade and his team, which is cool, but again it just doesn’t seem.. real.. I guess?
Any who- I think I’ll stick with mafia romances, maybe even go for a giggle with the monsters, but stalkers- no thanks..

Butcher & Blackbird kept me entertained from the first chapter! I was able to look past some of the unsavory trigger warnings and fell in love with a serial killer romance.
What that says about me, I’m unsure, but I don’t care.
Rowan was great it’s his Irish humor and his hard love for Sloan. I loved Sloan and her introverted ways, the artist that felt unlovable until she met her equal.

Honestly, not sure if this is a spoiler (I’ll hide it just in case) but I really thought Rowan (the chef with the restaurant lol) was the one responsible for the cannibalism.. but no.. and thank God because I would never eat out again!

Great romance, good twist!
