5 stars for the story and great writing, for Jack and Ethan, for the secret service teddy bear and everything else in between

This was too sweet for words sugar coated candy and fluffy.. Jack and Ethan are so amazing together this was romance at its best.
I have fallen in love with these two even more.

What I love:
*Ethan and Jack, I found myself smile in a lot of parts of the book, they're so cute.
What I hate:
* When they are separated from each other.
Conclusion
Now I just want more of the these two, I just fall in love.

I had to wait until reissue to get this so am reading out of order, but what a worth while wait. This is styled #4 but chronologically it is 1.5.
I do enjoy Jack and Ethan and this one really did put across the hell that Iowa is for Ethan, followed by the highs of getting back to Jack, followed by the low of returning to Iowa.
An interesting investigation for Ethan, with progress on acceptance. An insight to Jack’s world and the pressures of presidency.
Great addition

I was a little confused while I was reading this book, as I had (erroneously) assumed that it would be in a timeline after the Enemies of the State. Once I realised that it, in fact, was in a time set in the last chapter of that book, and before the very end, I could keep reading.

I felt this one drag a little more than the first. I'm not sure even what it's place is exactly in the overall picture of things, but maybe that will become obvious once I read book 2 or 3? Or perhaps it is exactly what it's named: an Interlude...

We gets to see how Jack and Ethan are doing a few months into their relationship. It is hard on both of them with the pressures of the media and being apart. I loved the Christmas time and the gifts they shared that was really sweet. Ethan gets involved in an FBI case and we get that mystery as well. I'm really enjoying this series and look forward to the next book.
