Thoughts:
SpoilerThey spent too much of the book not being together and to say that Bayou is the president of the MC they didn't really feature that much. Didn't dislike the book I was just looking forwards to it so it was a bit of a let down

Bayou and Phoebe are my favorite couple of the Bear Bottom Guardians MC. Their story was one that I just couldn't get enough of. I loved how they meet, and how it didn't matter that they didn't see each other for years, that Bayou still thought about her. Phoebe was the same way when it came to Bayou. The way that they were together showed that they had the perfect chemistry. And no just because they were written by the author to be together doesn't mean they the chemistry will be there. At least when the story is played out in my head. But, these two had the perfect chemistry. It was like Phoebe was created for Bayou. In fact their chemistry along with their story was the reason I found myself going right into a re-read once I was done the first time. And I can already see that this book is going to be one that I will be reading over and over again.

Right off the bat, I loved Phoebe. I get the 15-year old I-would-rather-be-anywhere-but-here mentality and attitude. Who is she? If you read 'My Bad', you will recognize who she is. Oh my gosh! I almost dropped my kindle when I realized who Benson is! Wow! The quote at the beginning of Chapter 6 had me laughing so hard that I set my asthma off! This was an incredible book to read. I still hate Brielle with every fiber of my being it isn't even funny. Enjoy reading the book!

Hm final verdict would be I liked it. It wasn't stand out of the crowd good but averagely good, ya know?

I liked Bayou and I liked Phoebe. Their romance was different and supposedly Phoebe fell in lurrrrvee with him when she met him at age fifteen. Hmm, I wasn't a fan of that tbh. But the story was cute-ish and I didn't hate it.

I did have issues with LLV (again) and her lack of attention to detail. In Hoax's book their cousin/Bayou's sister Brielle mentioned something about them attending her art show. Hoax, in his thoughts goes on to tell us how much he disliked going to them when he had in the past and how they were stuffy and she never paid attention that they were even there. So naturally I assumed she was an artist or curator or something, righttt? Well obviously not! In the beginning of Bayou's book Brielle throws a tantrum about not getting hired at the prison instead of Phoebe. When Bayou explains why she didn't get it he mentions she has an associates degree in nursing (pediatrics supposedly) where Phoebe had a bachelor's so she was more qualified. And Brielle bitches about her job at the hospital. What? I was totally confused by this.

Add in how we go the whole book, even Hoax's before, where Brielle is a thorn in their side. Needy, whiny, clingy, jealous, bitter and stalkery. And then magically in the epilogue Bayou tells us (6 years later) how Brielle loved his kids and got over her jealousy and anger toward them and their wives because she just wanted Hoax and him to be happy. Uh, what? All that and just everything worked out? Nope. That woman had serious issues and I was surprised in both books when she didn't turn out to be the villian. I refused to accept that tbh.

This was the cutest book ever! Two perfectly matched souls, Benson Bayou Beauregard has Aspergers but he’s a brilliant guy. Phoebe is a curious, inquisitive teenager. When they meet, she never saw anything different about him, he was perfect for her. She was fifteen and he was eighteen. They got stuck on one another but Bayou felt he was not good enough for her, he was too messed up. It too years, but he worked on himself until he was the man he thought could be good for her.

Phoebe was always stuck on him but since he went away to the Army and kept away from her, she didn’t think he wanted her. When they reconnect eight years later, it was their time and what a fabulous time it was.

Bayou got the surprise of his life when he receives news he has a daughter three years old. He thinks he’s doesn’t have what it takes to be a father, but when Phoebe (A.K.A Fancy) convinces him he does have the qualities of a good person and a good father, he takes on the role. Whenever he starts to freak out, only Fancy’s presence gives him peace. He’s obsessed with birds and Fancy has a hawk for a pet. Little Isa was mistreated all her short life, but she connects with Fancy immediately. She’s a brilliant little girl and her father’s mini-me. It’s all made for them.

The book is full of good times, family, all their little and interesting quirks, problems with ex-girlfriends, prison fun times, a psycho adopted sister, and a hateful father who calls his son “stupid”. I loved both main characters; they are full of heart, funny moments, and quirky personalities. As you read the book you realize how perfect they are for each other, what a great fit they are, and how entertaining this cute love story is.
