Ugh, I don't know about this. Most everything sounded terrible - but since I haven't made anything yet I really can't judge. I'm glad I got this as a $2.99 kindle deal :-/

The recipes look good, but rather daunting at times for this cook who prefers simple/easy recipes. I prefer the new The China Study - Quick and Easy Cookbook by this same author.

Good recipes, but would be better if it had photos of each one.

My initial quick flip through 6 or 8 recipes in this, I thought this was going to be one of the most amazing cookbooks ever. However, a careful page-by-page read has lowered my expectations. Many of the recipes either have a very similar base (onion, carrot, celery and same basic spices) or rely on one of the handful of sauces in the beginning of the book paired with different ingredients. It quickly became clear that I could often take one main recipe in a group and just vary the vegetables in it myself. So far, I have only tried one recipe (the brown sauce) and I was NOT impressed with that. Very unbalance with an overwhelming soy sauce flavor. It does give me a starting point for making my own brown sauce, but that's all I can say for it. Will update as I try other recipes in the book.

Found this by chance after viewing some plant-based whole food diet videos on YouTube and have enjoyed trying the recipes.

Gone on my easy access cookbook shelf as some recipes from here will become standards and others regular treats.

It looks like there are some tasty recipes in there. I'll update my review when I have tried some.

Received this cookbook for Christmas 2017. I've been experimenting with these recipes for months and more often than not, they came out lack-luster. There were a couple mushroom dishes that worked out okay, but overall these recipes don't have a lot of flavor. This is coming from someone who has been vegan for about two and a half years. There are way better plant-based recipe collections than Forks Over Knives. I would recommend watching the documentary by the same name though, that was definitely worth my time.

In the end, I would highly recommend getting any of the Thug Kitchen cookbooks, the one from Minimalist Baker, or even The Starch Solution over this one.

Nice, but not quite as all-around-wonderful as the Everyday Happy Herbivore.

Super healthy vegan and oil free

The recipes look easy enough, but many are still unattractive. I don't think I will ever be hardcore enough to want to eat most of these. Still, some, occasionally, may be good.
