In: the motif of hands for the characters that aren’t rich (ie Vanessa finding Dan’s “bird-like hands” hot), ice cream sundae dates, Aaron being black (?), audio books narrated by Christina Ricci, music under the narration, eating pizza and watching a movie in bed with your BBF instead of having sex with Nate.
Out: the fact that this audiobook was only 2 hours, the time it takes for Serena and Blair to rekindle their friendship, rich people shoplifting, Dan's toilet paper poetry, Aaron being white (?) with dreads, Nate's flirtation with Little J.
More to come. You know you love me xoxo

This is the second book in the Gossip Girls series. I rated the first book two stars, but I had this one on my shelf too. After several challenging reads, I thought it would be nice to read something simpler; brainless, really.
I am still shocked that young teens read this series. The characters are vapid and worry mostly about appearance, smoking, sex, and social status. Thankfully, I've already developed an identity and can shake my head at their behavior.
I was glad to finish this book in one day, and I will probably read the next one - this was better than the first. I'm not sure what the appeal of this series is, but I'll just let it happen. Haha. I wonder if there are actually wealthy communities like this. 2.5-3.0 stars :).

Why these books intrigue me? I don't know. I love Jenny. <3

Appalled at the questions all of them were asked at their college interviews. Confused as to why they all stayed at shitty motels when they were going places not that far away from New York City and have lots of money and at the timeline of this book. Love the ladies gossiping at Eleanor’s wedding and a friendship rekindling.

Why do I enjoy these books so much? Probably it’s that the characters are always relatable even if not likable and the zippy snarkiness of it is so fun.
