Muses & Melodies by Rebecca Yarros
5.0
Rebecca Yarros knows how to write an angsty, sexy romance that is both smartly 3 dimensional with character development and plot. I was looking forward to reading Nixon's story. Once I found out where Zoe Shannon was from- I gasped... let's just say if you've read Yarros' other books you will be delighted.
This book exceeded my expectations. The mystery of why Nixon struggled with sobriety especially in the summer is answered gradually. After all, some men just shut down the part of their mind where their troublesome memories are stored and stubbornly refuse to open that door. It isn't easy for Zoe to push through the marshmallow exterior to get to the truth.
Nixon gives some of himself until he can't give more, which would be ok if someone from his past doesn't barge back into his somewhat settled life to threaten the peace he found. I loved every moment of the book, even the painful parts because Yarros is such a gifted writer. What a splendid end to this series. If this is your first Yarros book, you must read her Flight & Glory series!!
