Series review: Urban fantasy but heavy on fantasy and light on urban. I loved the first series in this world, so I was a little disappointed when I didn't like this one as much. My biggest issue is how much angst there is in the relationships. When the heroine tries to break the bond and it's not even in the first book you know there's some dramatics occurring. I don't mind a little build up to things, but I want moments of happiness and tenderness between everyone prior to the last chapter, and I didn't feel like I got enough of that or that the redemption was fully earned. I also didn't think the guys were that well-rounded or distinct personalities and the heroine was a step back from Vinna. I still enjoyed it, and the best part was probably the further building of the Sentinel world (and the Vinna sneak peek) and I loved what it set up at the end. I'm very grabby hands for the next series.

In love!!!!
I adored this book, maybe more than book 1! She finally gets some answers, though far from the whole story, while the picture of this complicated world is starting to become clear. In enjoyed the interactions of the characters, though, tbh, there were moments I wanted to shake my head at Falon and her deliberate ignorance.... I mean, come on! But now that veil is gone and I can’t wait to see what happens in book 3!
First person, single POV, fantasy medium burn RH, cliffhanger.
Rating = mature.
MMMF
Character age range = 25+
Pros:
- Very well written.
- Character dynamics.
- Pigeon!
- things are starting to make sense.
Cons:
- She needs to ask more questions !!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the world-building in such a small book and Krestel City is such a unique place to be. The characters are so different to other shifter books I've read about. Ivy has created some well-balanced A-Holes in this why choose romance. Each have them have a different side to them that is needed by not just Falon but also Pigeon.
I couldn't get on board with Falon talking to Pigeon so much, that kept throwing me out of the book but I thoroughly enjoyed the spice and the mystery behind it all. Falon is still learning what she is and how to control this new side of her. She doesn't know who to trust and what is the right thing to do. Falon still has a hell of a lot to learn and I'm sure we'll find out how in the next book. I could have done with another 200 pages.

Damn! I can’t wait until the next one. It was good...so many hints about what Falon is and who her parents are! These books need to be bigger! I was sad when it ended. And now I have to wait until May!

WOW
I am a new fan of this Authors world building. Yes its steamy but that's not all you get. So many unanswered questions keeping you on the edge of your seat.
(dissapointted I just read the first 2 books in 2 days and will have to wait for more.. lol)
