The Avowed by Ivy Asher
3.0
I thoroughly enjoyed the world-building in such a small book and Krestel City is such a unique place to be. The characters are so different to other shifter books I've read about. Ivy has created some well-balanced A-Holes in this why choose romance. Each have them have a different side to them that is needed by not just Falon but also Pigeon.
I couldn't get on board with Falon talking to Pigeon so much, that kept throwing me out of the book but I thoroughly enjoyed the spice and the mystery behind it all. Falon is still learning what she is and how to control this new side of her. She doesn't know who to trust and what is the right thing to do. Falon still has a hell of a lot to learn and I'm sure we'll find out how in the next book. I could have done with another 200 pages.
