I really enjoyed this! The magic was fun and mostly easy to understand. To spice was good and sprinkled well throughout. There was a real plot and stakes I really liked. There was no third act miscommunication in a traditional way which was a relief. I loved the hyper confident but still silly MMC. I was a little confused by the world at some points. I also wanted some sweeter moments between the characters so I wouldn’t have minded if it was a little longer. Overall a super solid entertaining read!

Thank you to Maggie Mayhem for allowing me to read a copy of this book. I ADORED this book. I will admit that I went into it thinking "oh this is going to be a quick, steamy monster romance." But I was wrong, and I am so happy that I was mistaken. The plot of this book was just chef's kiss. I loved the romance, I loved the characters. And I just adored everything about this book. It was so fun, and yet so wholesome. This book really makes me want to read more from Maggie Mayhem now.
