This was such a cozy little monster romance! It had more of a plot than I was even expecting and the couple was super adorable! Loved the found family of her two bffs and the whole magic town. Definitely recommend!

Penny, the female witch lead, casts a spell she found on the internet for the “right” partner after being left at the altar by her parents’ choice of fiancé. Prax, the male incubus lead, didn’t check the fine print and thought he was answering a booty call summons. When he realises what Penny really wants, he’s certain he’s not interested in forever, though he’s very interested in right now with her. But free spells aren’t always good and Prax isn’t the only male being drawn to Penny. Is there a way to salvage what they have and get rid of the other males?

This story is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, contemporary fantasy romance. I enjoyed Penny’s developing self-confidence and independence. I appreciated the way Prax supported her goals. I chuckled at Prax’s confusion and frustration with some modern concerns, given he was newly released from involuntary bondage (in an earlier story in the series) and still acclimatising to modern reality. I enjoyed his determination to revel in his new situation. I enjoyed the relationship development and the steamy intimate scenes. I enjoyed the integrated secondary characters, and the world building that continues in the background. Whilst the romance stands alone, I believe the story is enhanced by having read the earlier stories in this series.
