“I’d rather have my last memory be of his death than suffer knowing that his last memory was of mine.”
This short story is by far my favourite. I liked Marlee from the start and was so sad when she got punished. Maxon undoing it was my favorite part. Lovely.

This was such a sad yet uplifting novella. I loved how Carter and Marlee stayed so positive throughout this horrific ordeal. I had no idea Maxon helped them as much as he did, but I'm glad it worked out nonetheless! Just lovely.

Honestly my rating is more for the series then for this particular novella. I always was a fan of Marley and Carter, and was hoping to really get a good look into their story. But, I don't think we got that great of a look into their love story, and how they felt about each other, and most importantly why they felt this way about one another. I mean they gave up everything to be together, and I still after reading this don't know why. But it was really nice to visit the world of America, I just love that girl!

This was such a cute novela, I loved finally reading Marlee's story, and just added to my love for Maxon. The Selection will always be my guilty pleasure.
