Nothing really new or interesting. Quite short as well, but it was good to learn that the caste system is abolished though I always suspected that's how it went afterwards.

I knew something was going on with Marlee, but didn't know how it had developed. It's wonderful to have the backstory to Marlee's situation. My only complaint is that there is a spoiler for The One in this novella. I read it between The Elite and The One and the spoiler has kind of messed up part of the suspense in The One.

I did like it but I think I was expecting something more... I had huge expectations of this because Marlee is one of my favorite character of the books and I ship her with Carter since the Elite

I had found my soul mate. I knew it. and there was too much love in my heart to leave room for regret.

The Favorite (Novella)

The last book from The Selection Series collection with Marlee's POV. I always loved her being the beff of America. I was saddened when she was caned, but in the name of love she made it! So brave to face the punishment without regret and to even consider doing it again for her love. I really enjoyed this series! 👏🏻✨

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐.75

Marlee was by far my favorite character in the entire Selection series, and I am so happy that this novella exists. It wasn't anything life-shattering or game changing on my opinion of the Selection series, but it was definitely an enjoyable read for anyone who read the Selection series!
