This is the second book in the series. Now I'm one that doesn't really want to read about the pandemic, but I must say Kennedy Fox does it a way that works. This book takes place after it so it was intriguing to see how life after the pandemic is. It gives one hope for ourselves. Boy, Ryan rubbed me wrong at the beginning. His attitude needed a little adjusting, but we learn what's going on in his head and what he is struggling with. I give him some slack. Plus he quickly redeemed himself. I loved Kendall. I feel for her because she's seen for only her money and stereotypes and not for her true self. She has a really kind soul and giving heart. Being stuck snowed in together is going to give Ryan a whole new perspective of Kendall. I loved all the little holiday moments. I'm with Kendall on the Hallmark Christmas movies. I binge on those myself every holiday season. It made my heart happy to see Ryan really find happiness and find a nice life balance. Man, the set up for the next book already has me on the edge of my seat. It sounds like it's going to be one heck of a ride.

It feels like every KF book I read gets better and better and this seems to continue that trend. The last LiI book featured the sister and best friend of the couple in this one, so even though technically this can be read as a standalone, it would give you much greater context if you read that one before this. This was a pretty steamy one. Mix in the banter and the smexy tension between Kendall and Ryan and you have this scorching little number. I loved how they used their isolation to get to know each other better in every single way and it was a really great read. Forced proximity is always a trope that'll hook me in so this series has me on the hook until it's over. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this and all opinions are my own.

I’ve been excited for Kendall and Ryan’s story since I finished The Two of Us. I love the progression of their relationship throughout the book. They went from hating each other but that changed as they got to know each other and as learned new things about themselves, they realized how wrong they were about one another. Emma Wilder is absolutely amazing and I love her delivery of Kendall. Tor Thom is fairly new to me but I really enjoy his narration. If you are looking for a red-hot steamy listen I really recommend this one.

Oh my stars, I thought the first book in this series was amazing, but I am SOOO in love with Ryan and Kendall. I think that this story was exactly what I needed at this time because it warmed my heart, made me smile and so much more. It was a perfect layout for enemies to lovers that is also the best friend's brother. I loved the push and pull these two had and there were some really funny moments on top of swoon worthy ones.
It felt real and believable with this story on top of dealing with the aftermath of the pandemic. I felt that Fox did this story with a brilliant and realistic mindset on how the world is going right now and I felt the hope that was also woven into the words. If you are a fan of this duo, you will enjoy this story and all the feels that it evokes!

I love me some Kennedy Fox books. I love their writing style and the characters they create. Enemies to lovers and brother’s best friend are some of my favorite tropes so of course this book was right up my alley! The Best of Us was a great way for me to start off this holiday season. You cannot go wrong with a cute snowed in romance. Ryan and Kendall were perfect for each other, and I enjoyed reading their love story.
It was so fun watching them get to know each other and fall in love while they were stuck in the cabin. Their chemistry is off the charts! Resulting in some seriously steamy sexy times that are perfectly balanced by some super sweet moments.
I love the friendship between Kendall and Cami. And I especially love that we got a glimpse into what Cami & Eli were up to. I enjoyed the introduction of Kendall’s sister Piper and am excited to see how her story unfolds.

Warning: This book will melt your reading device...proceed with extreme caution, but do proceed!
This book is filled with steam, even in a winter storm! Ryan and Kendall will have you fanning your face a lot while reading this book. I know we got a glimpse of these two in the first book in the series, but I don't think I had ever expected Ryan to be quite the Alpha he was in the bed! I loved being back at the cabin again, I imagine this place in my head so well I want to go visit it myself one day! I loved the how strong Kendall was, she stood up for herself when she needed to and she held her own as well. Great writing again, I couldn't put this book down!
I received an ARC in return for my honest review
