The Best of Us by Kennedy Fox
4.0
This is the second book in the series. Now I'm one that doesn't really want to read about the pandemic, but I must say Kennedy Fox does it a way that works. This book takes place after it so it was intriguing to see how life after the pandemic is. It gives one hope for ourselves. Boy, Ryan rubbed me wrong at the beginning. His attitude needed a little adjusting, but we learn what's going on in his head and what he is struggling with. I give him some slack. Plus he quickly redeemed himself. I loved Kendall. I feel for her because she's seen for only her money and stereotypes and not for her true self. She has a really kind soul and giving heart. Being stuck snowed in together is going to give Ryan a whole new perspective of Kendall. I loved all the little holiday moments. I'm with Kendall on the Hallmark Christmas movies. I binge on those myself every holiday season. It made my heart happy to see Ryan really find happiness and find a nice life balance. Man, the set up for the next book already has me on the edge of my seat. It sounds like it's going to be one heck of a ride.
