I don't know what to say, it had been a bit too long between the first book in this series and this one, which made it a little harder for me to remember what exactly happened in the first one and I was a little confused with the timelines and sometimes even the characters had me confused -as to who they where and if I already should know them but forgot them- which wasn't optimal reading but still. I really enjoyed the book and the trope is just fantastic, the way they're snowed in together and are getting to know each other on a deeper level and then leading up to the hot and steamy scenes. I loved every aspect of it and can't wait for book 3!
Definitely recommend this book!
5/5 stars.

I am becoming more and more obsessed with Kennedy Fox books so when I saw this one, I had to read it. I do wish I read book 1 first, but I’ll get there. This book takes place in a world where the pandemic is over but many people are still suffering from isolation, being overworked and PTSD from seeing the worst of it. Because I am reading it almost year after publication, it was hard to distinguish what was based on real things and what was kind of a hopeful world post pandemic. Kennedy Fox managed to take the seriousness of the pandemic and turn it into something fun and sexy to read about which as a nurse I could really appreciate.
Kendall and Ryan have known each other forever. Kendall is best friend’s with Ryan’s sister. They are tasked with setting up the cabin for Cami and Eli’s wedding when a snow storm traps them there. Ryan sees Kendall as a spoiled princess who doesn’t work for anything that she has. This causes hard feelings between the two, it really hurts Kendall because on the outside she may appear that way, but once you get to know the real her, you could see who she really is. After a bunch of fighting, some alcohol, and a smokin hot night between the two of them, they finally are getting along. While they both downplay their feelings, deep down they both know this is the realest most sincere relationship that either of them has had. Ryan just might mess things up again if he doesn’t learn to keep his mouth closed.

I've been a fan of Kennedy Fox for a while now, and I was never disappointed. And with The Best of Us, the second instalment in the Love in Isolation Series, they've done it again.
It's an amazing enemies-to-lovers read about Kendall and Ryan. Both of them have known each other all their life, as Kendall is his sister's best friend and was always around. Ryan, who wants nothing to do with the world of the rich and famous and loves his work as a doctor (maybe a little too much) and Kendall seems to be the total opposite. But when both of them are snowed in, she finally gets the chance to prove him wrong. And maybe to find a way to his heart.
The story takes on a while after where we are right now, so it definitely hit close to home. I do understand it's important to make the best out of things and to get a different perspective. For me, literature is sometimes a way to escape, and I honestly still don't know how to feel about it. It is definitely well-written and handled respectfully that it's still a great read.
The characters are lovely, the writing is great, and fans of the author duo will love this one just as much as past books.
(I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review).

Kendall knows what she wants and goes for it and that person was Ryan, her best friend older brother. They were both raised in the same circle but Ryan didn’t want to be your typical trust fund baby. He was a very dedicated doctor. Kendall had a side to her that very few knew off. She used her wealth for something so good and humble. Ryan never saw that side of her until they were stuck together in a snowstorm and his entire mindset about her changed. They were so different but oh so perfect for each other. Ryan realized how ring he was about her and they threw caution to the wind and got together. They were ups and downs and trying moments but it was never a dull moment with these two and their families.

The Best of Us is a light read with lots of steamy moments, but also charged with emotion! The romance is really sweet and had me with a constant smile on my face from its beauty. It’s perfect for this time of year with a holiday feeling!
Kendall and Ryan’s relationship was amazing to watch unfold. They’ve known each other for years, as Kendall is best friend with Ryan’s little sister Cami (The Two of Us), and have been fighting a strong attraction wrapped in animosity. When they end up stuck together in a chalet in the mountains after a snowstorm it’s the chance for them to discover more about each other. They soon realize that the assumptions they had of each other are so wrong. This couple is fire together and share pretty intense and hot moments, but they also open up to each other about their aspirations. They’re quite lovely and under all the hotness, the romance is cute!
I enjoyed the main couple and was glad to see more of Cami and Eli too as they’re preparing their marriage. The introduction of Piper, Kendall’s sister, was interesting and certainly have me intrigued about the next novel in the series, The End of Us! Kennedy Fox signed another fantastic read with all the wow factors that left me with happy feelings!

JUST NO. NO. NO. I would’ve rated it lower than this. There was no plot and it was too rushed , there wasn’t a time where things slowed down everything was rushed . THEY GET TOGETHER TOWARDS THE END OF THE BOOK THEN THEY GET ENGAGED AT THE END OF THE BOOK . LIKE NO NO NOOOOO

I have to say, after book 1, I was hooked on this series. It took a bit to get into it, but once I did, BAMM! These two have that love to hate each other, but secretly want to get in each other’s pants push and pull!! There is some kind of magic in this cabin and I cannot wait to see what else happens there.

Crushes can be really fun to have but whenever you are across the opportunity to turn it into something real, sometimes it is scary.
Kendall faces a crush on her best friend’s brother, the grumpy doctor that saves lives everyday and believes in helping people. She’s only the spoiled girl her sister has as a friend. But Kendall it’s so much more.
Ryan is the best man and Kendall is the maid of honor, both of them travel to a cabin to spend some days with their loved ones, but a lot of unplanned things happened and they’re forced to spend quality time together to learn more of themselves.
I’m sure the temperature inside the cabin was waaaay hotter than outside, because this story is FIRE.
❄️
She gives me a look. “You’re considered a Distant Diva”. -> I laughed out loud with this quote. Me morí de la risa con esta frase.
