AHHHHH THIS BOOK WAS SO SO GOOD!! I want to write a real review eventually but wow!!
I loved that this book had more scenes with the whole Ryder unit! I loved because able to the see the way all the siblings behaved around each other. Not to mention we got more backstory from Amos?? I loved getting more Amos content especially since he’s working a lot! I thought it was really nice especially since it showed the contrast between Ada’s familial history vs Wes’ which I think was very relatable, but also really important for their story.
This book did a great job of highlighting the flaws that both Wes and Ada faced (Wes with depression and middle child pressure- literally me- and Ada with trauma from an abusive relationship and poor childhood). I found it inspiring (and very realistic) showing that Wes waited and would continue to love Ada despite all of the fears that plague her (for good reason). It really hammers home that everyone is deserving of someone. Someone who loves and respects you no matter what, flaws and all. Watching Ada and Wes repair Baby Blue and incorporate parts of his family into, while “breaking down” the walls of their hearts (see what I did there?) was really lovely. I loved that they had a slow burn element to their relationship and that even after acknowledging that they had feelings, Ada still struggled fully accepting the love she’d never received. Honestly I saw so much of myself in Ada so I have a soft spot for her :,)
I also really enjoyed watching Ada build her girl group because YESS!! Their girls night was so fun to read and don’t even get me started on CAM AND DUSTY?? Like I was screaming because the tension was insane??
Anyway maybe later I’ll right a real review, but yeah this book is easily a 4.75 and I can’t wait to read the next book!
Wow wow wow wow. Lyla Sage, the author you are. This book was SO GOOD!!! I’m sorry I don’t think you heard me, this book was SO SO GOOD! Like it genuinely got me out of my semi-reading slump and just captivated all my attention (I literally stayed up until 3am reading LMAO).
There were a lot of things I loved about this book and because I don’t wanna ramble your ear off, let’s start with the town first. Rebel Blue Ranch was such an amazing setting and I could feel the warmth of the small town atmosphere just from reading about it. I truly felt immersed in the town and in the people and found myself falling in love with the familial energy as I was reading. Sage did such a great job of world building omggg
LUKE. BROOKS. WOOOO 🙂↕️ I literally ate his character arc UP! I loved the idea of a troubled teen growing up and relieazeing that he had two choice: become what everyone thinks of him, or become how HE wants to see HIMSELF. Brooks’ childhood absolutely gutted me and in a weird (well maybe sad) way, I found it relatable. In a world where we are told “family is everything”, his story shows that sometimes family doesn’t always mean the ones you come from- but the ones you find. I loved seeing/reading about his relationship with Gus, Wes, Amos and the rest of the rebel family. It was so heartwarming.
Similarly, Emmy’s struggle with holding things in and trying to deal with problems independently and in her head was TOO REAL!!! To see her confide not only in Brooks, but also in her best friend, Teddy, made my heart so happy. I absolutely loved seeing the support Teddy gave her and reading just how close they are to one another like YESS #needthat! Teddy was so understanding of Emmy (so excited for Teddy’s book) and it was beautiful to see Emmy feel so comfortable around her. In this story, Emmy deals with ADHD which I feel like makes her journey even more powerful because she doesn’t let that stop her from going after what she loves or what she wants to do.
Overall (this is very much not short LMAO) I loved this book with every part of my being and it really warmed my heart.
I honestly really really enjoyed this book!! It was so much fun but also touched on really sensitive topics that I personally related to which was nice to read about and be heard.
Nico is such a sweetheart and watching his relationship with Elle and Rafael develop and grow into something healthier was really beautiful. I also think watching Rafael grow as a person was really nice to read especially given little to no information about what was going on in his head in Love Redesigned. I also loved reading more about Elle and I found her storyline to be very interesting and I was most definitely rooting for her the whole time!!
Overall this book was really good and definitely a 4.5 ⭐️
Honestly i feel like the book was too self aware if that makes sense? Like it felt too modern/old in the sense that the references and stuff being made was taking me out. I hate when books reference real things or stuff like “the gram” etc.
Also i get Alex is supposed to be hot and moody but like omg how many times is she gonna say it?? Also i felt like he was wayyy overreacting to some of the things (like the picture) to the point where it wasn’t even “aww protective” and more “ahhhh controlling”. Anyway i don’t think im gonna finish it sooooo DNF!!
AHHHHH I loved this book so so much!!! It warmed my heart and honestly I feel like I seen a lot of myself in both Julian and Dahlia! Watching them work through their issues such as trust and pride really resonated with me in a way that I wasn’t prepared for. This story had so many lovable characters in the cast (but then again it IS a Lauren Asher story) and not to mention even cute cameos and hints at the Dreamland Billionaire series. I loved this book so much!
I was so so bored. And the characters didn’t have an redeeeming qualities for me to stay interested! I also heard there’s a lot of sex but not a lot of anything else soooooo idk #boring
I know I start every book review off this way, but I don’t know what to say 😭
This book was hilarious, inspiring, emotional, and extremely heartfelt. Literally since the first page, I could not stop laughing. I was giggling and kicking my feet throughout and especially after the last few books I read, I liked that this one didn’t require a lot of emotional energy (aka me going through an emotional rollercoaster..looking at YOU dreamland billionaires)!
Win and Bo have a very heartwarming story and as I read, seeing them go through being vulnerable and relying on each other and learning to trust each other was something beautiful. I loved how nerdy Bo was (along with how funny and cocky he could be). I also loved how caring and patient he was for Win—choosing to play the long game even when she wasn’t ready to trust yet.
Win, for me, represented a lot of traits that I also see in myself so to watch her worry and work on loving herself, reminding herself that she is enough and deserving of Bo spoiling her and just being treated as human was beautiful. Not to mention watching them both come to terms with becoming new parents was very emotional (in a good way) to watch. I loved this book so dearly. It was like watching you’re favorite romcom 💗
Wow. Um I don’t even know what to say really except that this book really has changed my life. It’s definitely my top book of the year easily.
The themes of this book are difficult and are actually ones that I hold really close to me personally. I feel like the whole book was just emotional whiplash but in the best way possible. The whole time reading I felt like my heart was clenched and quite literally in the hands of the beautiful characters in not just this story, but the whole series as a whole.
Cal’s journey was definitely the most emotional of the 3 brothers and one that had me rooting for him the whole time. He goes through so many ups and so many downs which mimic the real life journey of many addicts, and to watch it all unfold throughout the book with the love and support of his family and the love of his life Lana was beautiful.
Lana was such an amazing fmc and definitely one of a kind. Straight from the opening of the book I knew she would make me laugh a lot. But on top of that, she also was resilient despite everything she had to go through and was going through throughout the course of the story. I loved little Cami so so much I can’t even describe it. Watching Lana and Cal and Cami all unfold together on the pages really made my heart melt. I loved them so much.
With this, the Kane brothers’ stories come to an end. A very very emotional end for me personally. This series really has a special place in my heart beyond words can describe.
terms and conditions | 4 🌟 | check tw before reading! “…love can heal a soul as much as it can destroy it.”
—————- I love this family and I don’t want to leave this worlddd!! Declan and Iris’ story was so cute and honestly so much fun! I loved being able to see them grapple with their past while also trying to push towards their future whether it be figuring out what they really want in life, learning to compromise, vulnerability, etc. Also having a black fmc written so well was everything to me and to see her live out her billionaire wife life just ughhhh we need more books like that! Representation matters and I really loved this! I also loved the cameos of Rowan and Zahra and also being introduced to some other great people with good advice like Leo and Mr. Yakura.
I feel like this book has some really really great messages in it when it comes to love and family and the past which made me fall in love. Honestly the book was lowkey relatable (“wait is this f-ing play about me??”). Each book makes me fall more in love with Lauren Asher and her writing that I just have no clue what I’m gonna do by the time I finish the series :((
Umm okay so this book definitely changed my life and I’m SICK! I dont even know where to start with this review so let's just start with talking about the plot.
Essentially, Brady Kane (the owner and creator of a theme park similar to Disneyland called Dreamland) passes away. In his will, he leaves his three grandsons letters detailing the task they must complete to secure their part of the company (three grandsons, three different books). So this book focuses on the youngest grandson, Rowan Kane, who needs to fix whats wrong with the park/bring back the spark in order to become the CFO. Rowan Kane is a lot of things, grumpy, calculated, closed off, and not easily trusting. However, throughout the book, these choice of words are put into question when he meets ray of sunshine and super trusting, disorganized Zahra Gulian. He wants nothing more than to focus on the task at hand and together they have the potential to change the course of Dreamland forever...but can they keep their relationship strictly professional despite their frustration for each other?
Okay so now that you know the plot, I just want to say that for me this book was spectacular. It was perfect for getting me out of my reading slump and I couldn't help but find myself rooting for Zahra and Rowan. The characters were so emotional and vulnerable and flawed and so to watch them work through their insecurities and their past was beautiful. I loved that Lauren Asher didn't just brush away their past but instead showed us characters who behaved the way they did as a result of it. And with this, I loved that it wasn't just linear. In real life (as we all know) it takes time to change from old ways. It takes time to trust when you've been proven otherwise. Everything just takes patience and time and whoever is there for you, fighting for you, and prove time and time again they are there for you- they are the real people worthy of knowing the real you.
Throughout the book I was stressing for some of it and for other moments I couldn’t stop laughing. This book is one of a kind and it is not one I wont be forgetting any time soon.
