I read this series a long time ago and it pops up in my mind from time to time and I thought why not give it a re-read. Loved it just as much this time as I did then.
Catherine is Alex’s sister, we met her in book one and you can see she has a great head on her shoulders but it is weighted down with so much responsibility. She is almost too afraid to live.
We really get to see her sibling love shine through she will do anything for her brothers and they in kind will protect her.
David is Sam’s friend from America and he has come to Lilaria to help the birds that Sam has been working with. He and Cathy hit it off in a cute way and things start to take shape.
I love that he was such a gentleman, it really was what endeared him to me. Cathy didn’t even know she needed a gentleman until she had one.
The dynamic of this book is a lot different than the first because this really is centered around Cathy and her life. I found it intriguing.
I am on to the next in my reread.
Again loved the narration, the accents I just loved it all.

Ahh, Max, Max is the brother to Alex and Cathy he doesn’t like to be in the limelight at all and for the most part, Alex takes the role over so Max doesn’t have to. But he is a Prince as well and he does have some duties.
Meredith is new to being a Lady, as well as her son and after the death of her grandfather, things are not easy for her. Her father is far from what a father should be and so she has to take on the duties for her family.
Max is infatuated with Lady Meredith and her son; he can’t stand idly by while her father treats her as he does. So he takes matters into his own hands to make sure she and her son are safe.
Lady Meredith is so gun shy of relationships she doesn’t know if what Max wants is really her and Max who never wanted to be in the limelight is willing to be there if that is where Meredith is. I loved their love story and I think so many others will to.
Again I am a fan of the narration.

It’s weird I vaguely remember eye reading this story and I liked it but listening it dropped down a star for me. It was just ok. I found the narration to be tin line. If that was on purpose it didn’t work for me and it kept through me out of the story.
The story of how these three became these three is pretty nice, I liked that there was interest from all that made them getting together believable. The sexy times were all pretty hot and that helps pull you back into the story.
I guess I am just waiting for that story that blows me away.

This book blew me away for the second time. I am doing a series re read to get to the final book which I have not read yet. And why not do a re-listen right?
Before we go any further I am going to show you my Knight and my Anya.

For me Knight is one of those characters you love or you hate. I happened to love him. He is the protector in my eyes. Sure he can be force full and manly. Duh that’s what I love about him.
And I love him for Anya.
Swoooooooooooooooooon – I am goo after that..
She has had a pretty upsetting past. Her parents died suddenly and violently. Her aunt was not a nice lady. Anya had to fight for everything she has and she doesn’t put that blame on anyone. I think that’s what I loved. She was independent and sure a little insecure but she never let anyone see that until Knight.
I also love that when Knight started to pursue her she didn’t put up to much of a fight because hello holy hot man on legs wanted to protect and take care of her. And she hadn’t had that in a long time.
Knight having money, he doesn’t open up to a lot of people because a lot of people just want something from him. But when Anya steps in to his bedroom and was honestly sorry she was in his space he had to take a second look. Was she what she appeared to be?
The trust and love these two grow to have is beautiful. I will admit the “Daddy” thing bugs me in other books.. but in audio and with the way it’s written into this one.. Fuck I want to call Knight – Daddy!! Holy HOT.. Yep Knight converted me..

“With the way you think you see me, you need to now before your find out.”
“Baby, what?”
“My tummy ‘s round,”
“What?”
“I um… I’m not perfect. I have a little Buddha belly.”….
“You are perfect. I wanted to fuck cut, first, I’d wonder if I lost my fuckin’ mind, not havin’ sweet and soft and all woman. Then, I’d fuck cut. But I don’t want cut. I want my cock in a woman who’s sweet, soft and…” his face got close, “all woman.”

“You trust me, I take that burden. Don’t look into this shit, ask around and make assumptions. You are not wearin’ that dress because I’m what’s considered a classic Dominant. You dress yourself. Yu eat what you want. You live your life. But you trust me, you keep lettin’ me in, I share your load. And you give me you, we work out, in it for the long haul, I swear bay, I’ll be happy to take it all and let you live free.” - Knight

Raid by Kristen Ashley

Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the heck out of this book; I just didn’t love it as much as the other books in this series.
Hanna is sweet and kind to all. She has also never lived anywhere but the small town of Willow, where she runs her business and takes care of her Great Grandmother. Who is 98 and acts like a 20 year old. This is super cute and fun to read. Who also happens to have an ornery cat call Spot who as it were likes to ride in Hanna’s bike basket.. Silly kitty.
Raiden hasn’t had the easy life, his father wasn’t a good man so at the age of 14 Raid kicked him out. He took care of his mom and sister. Then he signed up to be a Marine. But after losing a lot of guys he was close to in combat, he just wasn’t the same coming home. And who could blame him.
But the moment his eyes lay on Hanna, he was sunk.
I do love how she brings Raid back in to the world of the living. He smiles more, he wants more out of life than he did before. And not because he was lost or anything but because he was just going through the motions. He lost a part of him, but I didn’t feel like he was the lost Alpha male kind of guy. Just that he was a little broken and needed a good women to help ease the ache.
What he didn’t know was that she had had a thing for Raiden Ulysses Miller since she was 6 and he was 9 playing tug-a-war in her Grams backyard.
It took some time but living the good life where front porches with swings, and crazy cats who would rather ride in the bike basket vs a car. And a sweet Gram who thinks you can hang the moon. This is just a swoony kind of romance, what can I say sometimes you just need one of those from time to time.

I love each book in this series, and I wasn’t sure how I would like Wheeler. Because he doesn’t seem like a character I could relate to but boy was I wrong.
He is a guy that wants what is best for his pack and if that means protecting them from his twin then he will do it. I figured he was hiding something just from the way he was in the other books and that is his past we learn a heck of a lot about Wheeler and the kind of shifter he is. But we also find out a lot about Ben and what kind of shifter he is.
Wheeler and Naya you wouldn’t think they work but boy do they ever. I love the connection they make and the chemistry they have.
Wheeler needs to learn to trust himself and Naya needs to let herself trust. And these two bring that out in each other.
I love that they both have pasts they need to overcome but they really don’t do that until they have each other to do it with. :)
Reading this series is like curling up on the couch on a rainy day with a cup of coffee and being able to fall in love. :)
Again I LOVE the narration I know I say that with each book but it’s true. I love it.

When I first heard of February was in Jagged. This got me thinking about her story so I pre-ordered this baby back in March. I am so glad I did I mean wow to have gone through what both Feb and Colt went through in there lives and to have come together in this way. Wow I mean freak that guy was nutty and at the end instead of it keeping them from each other, it brought them together. So yeah I am def glad I bought this one and because I loved it so I have gone and got the second book in this series if you have listened or read any books by Kristen Ashley you know it well worth the money and your time to read it. <3 Have a great day/night!

I loved this book, I picked it for my book club I am happy I could share the Kristen Ashley love around.
February and Colt have known each other damn near all their lives. They were high school sweethearts but ripped apart by circumstances.
Now years later, Feb is back in town and there is a murderer in there town killing people and Feb is threatened. Colt and the town rally together to make sure Feb is safe. But what do you do when the murderer is someone you used to know?
It’s a second chance at love for these two, Feb doesn’t make it easy but if she did what fun would that be. I am not going to give you a summary. Just I enjoyed all the characters the small town feel. And the suspense of who did it why and who will be next.
I can’t say enough good things about this book but then again I have read it more than once heck more than 3 times I think and these characters have buried down deep.

Original Review; I just tweaked it a little. ❤
When you first meet Joe you think he's an asshole. Yep, you do its true!
He can be sweet, sexy, manly, a makes you feel sorry for him because he hasn’t had such a great time of it.
But ultimately you want him to get the girl because he totally grows on you. And you see Joe as this broken-winged bird who needs this family to help heal his wing.
For me, Violet didn't seem like the grieving widow and I think that was because she had to be strong for her girls. But you know, you know Vi and her girls have been through so very much pain.
I won't give away the ugly crying parts let's just say, keep the Kleenex handy because you're going to need it.
I absolutely love that Joe called her buddy I mean really who does that! It’s probably my most favorite thing about Joe.
I did scratch my head about the whole Mike thing, I thought for sure things are going to go differently but at the end of the day, I'm glad how that all worked itself out.
The whole stalker thing going on I was a little bit shocked that more wasn't happening with all of that... We only had bits and pieces of that.
One of my favorite parts is when all of the family comes together and I mean all of the family. :-)
I love how Kristen can give every character their own personality and none of them bleed together. And her ability to write kids/teenagers so well love that.
I'm on the third book. Enjoy everybody.

This is one of those books you don’t take seriously you just enjoy the ride. It is fun and silly and just an all-around good time.
I loved the friends to lovers aspect, I love that the brother was totally awesome. And her best friend is funny and nutty.
I can’t wait to see how those stories are going to go. I can tell you that it will be a heck of a ride.
Milo and Colton together are like peas and carrots they get each other’s humor and pranks, kinda loved that.
Overall a fantastic read, glad I picked it up.
Also, the narration is fanfreakintastic it was like a performance! I lovvvvveeeeedd it!!

After reading Frigid, I had to read Scorched. I am glad I did reread these books because I remember enjoying them.
I will say this time I had more empathy for Andrea then I did the first time I read this book.
She really is going through a lot but you wouldn’t really know it because she portrays this hard outers shell.
Sometimes I thought she was a little selfish, and sometimes I felt like Tanner was being a bully.
Overall, I liked the connection between Tanner and Andrea and I really grew to like their relationship near the end.
Andrea has a lot of growing up but I think so does Tanner and I believe he was learning this near the end and that was what I liked best.
I liked the narration for both books, it was perfect for the characters.
