Rock Chick Reckoning by Kristen Ashley

If you’re wondering nope this isn’t my favorite one either, we are getting there. Though I did enjoy this book, I mean who wouldn’t its Mace for crying out loud.
This book is about Rock Chick Stella and Hot Guy Mace.
I think one of the things I enjoyed about this book over the others is that they were together before the book but had broken up.
So they had a different kind of past other than growing up together. Not that all the others were like that some were just connected in a different way.
Boy oh boy this book has action! This book has a lot of gun fire and suspense also quite a few twists as well I didn’t see coming.
Getting to know Stella and Mace’s story you see why they didn’t work the first time, they both kept their past to themselves. No one wanted to open up. Stella didn’t have a very loving environment growing up so when she got the affection and love from Mace she kind of used him up or that’s what she told herself.
‘For your information, it was the single most beautiful moment of my life.’ - Stella
Mace had a great sister and mother only things went bad and his sister was kidnapped and murdered in front of him. So that messed with his head a lot.
“Dance with me, Kitten,” he whispered.
None of this should be spoilers but either way I hide that encase anyone doesn’t want to know back story and wants to go in blind.
So now that things are coming to light they both still fight the pull, Stella wants them to be together then she doesn’t then Mace wants them to be together but Stella doesn’t it’s fun and witty and downright entertaining.
“Watchin’ you sing that, hearin’ the words, knowin’ what it meant, it was then I knew I loved you, Stella.”- Mace
Also 2 last things Mace calling Stella “Kitten” swoon! And the 5 years later at the end of the book with all the Rock Chicks is awesome!
Ok 3 things Jane, we get to know Jane’s character as the quiet employee that has been working at Fortnums forever. So when we get a little glimpse in to her mind.. Well I had to share.. :D
‘Jane decided in that second that Eddie and Jet were going to be her favorites for the day. She changed them every day depending on what she witnessed. Sometimes it was Lee and Indy. Other times, Hank and Roxie. Other, Jules and Vance or Luke and Ava, and now Mace and Stella. Today it was Jet and Eddie.’ - Jane :-)

I am sad it is over. I really enjoyed the journey both Katy and Daemon go through. The author as a way with words when she can keep me interested in all 5 books. I can't remember the last time I binged a series like this.
This book had some highs and lows and it was slow in some parts but overall I can’t complain. I loved Kat, she is one heck of a chick. Not only does she not let Daemon get away with anything. But she has a way about her that you can’t help but admire.
She doubts herself but when push comes to shove she know what to say and how to say it in a way that everyone likes her and looks at the situation differently.
Daemon really because “humanized” he learned to let his feelings show and if that wasn’t hella sexy I don’t know what is because you wouldn’t have thought he would even grow to be like that from book one.
Some pretty crazy stuff goes down in this book and I can’t say that it doesn’t keep you on the edge of your seat. Dee and Archer also have some big issues to overcome. Luke is a character I grew to like and his story for me doesn’t feel finished. Maybe one day we will get an update.
I again loved the dual narration for this book as I did the last. Again I think Justine’s voice is a little old sounding for teenagers but once you get used to it you don’t even notice it anymore. And Rob well what can I say he is Daemon through and through for me.
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

I loved how sarcastic Taryn is, but it was just how well she fits in with this pack. I loved how Trey gives Taryn a latent wolf a choice.
And even though it was ideal for either of them it just worked out to be the best thing for everyone involved.
Some of my favorite parts they all include Taryn in one way or another. How she and the old lady throw barbs out at each other is the most entertaining thing EVER!!
The back and forth she and Trey have in and out of the bedroom.
Where their drama parts, yes but they worked for this book, were there some predictable part sure but the overall story was unique and soo soo entertaining to read.
I enjoyed the narration, I think the only parts I didn’t like were at the sexy times she kind of whines, and to me, it just didn’t sound sexy. But overall very fun read. And HOT!

In book two we learn about Brand and how we had a relationship with a she-cat.
Well, that she-cat comes back to warn him and his pack about her pride and the other pride's going after them for revenge from what happened in book two.
I loved how when Brand sees her he automatically won’t let her go again. And how their connection is as strong as it was even with the time they were apart.
This book is action-packed and HELLA sexy no lye lots of steamy scenes.
I kinda of wanted another book!! I loved how this one ended but I feel like we are missing some great side characters stories like the cousin and the enforcers. I am sad that it seems like this series is done.
I loved the narration, the male voice’s the female voice’s G.C. VanCoudts does a freaking amazing job!

Never Never by Tarryn Fisher, Colleen Hoover

I waited to read these until they were all done, so I could just read them all together… So glad I did, because that cliffy was MEAN.
Charlie & Silas have lost their memories of themselves, and each other but also their family and friends. Yet somethings remain. Lyrics to songs, names of celebrities, driving, password for a laptop and so forth but nothing of who or what happened to them to make them this way. And it’s not easy “waking up” alone.
‘I close my eyes and pull away from her. I run my hands through her hair, the frustration of the day catching up to me. I can make light of it all with my jokes. I can dismiss her theories – from tarot readings to fairy tales – simply because it doesn’t make sense to me. But she’s right. None of this makes sense.’
They know they are a couple by the way people talk about them but they remember nothing, but the feeling when they are together those confuse them. It’s a pull like none other they are drawn to each other for no other reason that it feels right.
‘When we lock eyes, I feel like I’m meeting a brand new side of her. A side of her without resolve. A vulnerable side. A side that’s allowing herself to feel something. I want to grin and ask her how it feels to be in love, but I know teasing her in this moment would piss her off and she’d walk away and I can’t let that happen.’

Graham "Ham" Reese & Zara Cinders
Second chance romance! I love these, ok I see why some didn’t like but I have read this book 3 or 4 times now. And I don’t know I think maybe because we are introduced to Reece in For You another novel by Kristen Ashley and I found him so intriguing I just had to read his book.
I also love the background to both of these characters; Zara has had a poop life growing up. Abuse is not something any child should have to endure and she did.
Reece had a loving home growing up it was his ex’s that really messed with his head and he has/had a hard time put the past in the past and moving forward.
I can’t tell you why I loved this book; it could be a number of things. The fact that Reece kind of acts like a GIANT BUTT… Then turns into the white knight.
It could very well be that Zara throws some serious tude and I love it. Usually I’m not a fan of drama but I freaking love it in this book.
And the epilogue.. Sigh so good.

I have never made it a secret that I love Dannika Darks writing. Her Seven Series is and probably will be one of my most favorite shifter books ever.
Now the Mageri Series is just as well written, she sucks you in and doesn’t let you go. You become invested in Zoe and everything she is put through. To become what she is. She has strength like no other character I have read. She only shows her hurt when she literally can’t hide it any longer and even then she is fighting to contain it.
Zoe need to rely on others to get her through and it’s not something she takes lightly, she isn’t used to it. But she really has no choice, enter Adam. Her friendship with him is different where he wants more but I think he is afraid to want more. Or at least that’s my thought.
Then we have Justus, I have a slight crush on his confidence. I am digging him, he has this aura about him where the ladies want him and its funny no effect on Zoe what so ever. We also meet Simon and he is probably a favorite of mine just because he is kind of wacky and zany.
But what I love best about all these men is that they would all die to protect Zoe and she doesn’t want them to. She wants to stand on her own. But they have a need to protect.
I don’t want to give too much away because it’s truly a book you need to read and experience for yourself. I got this baby in audio and it’s even better then when I read it with my “eyes”. The narrator is amazing I can’t even, she makes you feel like you’re part of the story and isn’t that what audiobooks are all about.
So I will leave my review with this. If you haven’t read a Dannika Dark book what are you waiting for!

What a great addition to this series!
We get to see Zoe really become Silver as her becomes more confident in her new life. Silver and Simon’s friendship has really become a vital part of her new life. Its almost like a best friendship.
Silver has started to accept Justus as her guardian. She really begins to trust him but she does resent him a little for keeping her sheltered. But he feels like he is doing it for her own good.
We get to find out who the “benefactor” is, the fella who wants Silver for her light.
A love interest in Logan Cross who isn’t Mage, he is a Chitah.
Their meeting and relationship is one you have to read, I for one never would have seen it coming.
Adam gets a bit of a sore tail but he never fought for that kind of relationship with her. But I think that friendship will be work itself out.
This book really brings clarity to some things I questioned from book one so I am happy I am rereading / listening for the first time.
Again the narration is just perfect for this book, she brings this world to life in a way I don’t think many narrators could have.

I finished this audiobook today and needed a few hrs to let it sync in this was really the last book. I know there is a novella yet but wow what an ending.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series in audio. Dannkia Dark can sure write a paranormal book that sucks you in to the very last word. I can’t say who my favorite character is because I truly loved them all in their own ways. Yes even Christian who I wasn’t really a fan of, and that’s saying something because I freaking love vampires.
I will admit I teared up in the last book but it had nothing on this one. I bawled like a dang baby. I even had my son come ask me if I was alright, me – I am fine just the book. Sob, sob, sob..
Silver wow this girl she has grown from the girl she once was and I want to listen to more, more, more, I feel like I could listen to another 5 books , maybe Simon? Yeah I say we need a Simon book to be sure! Oh and Adam yes please Mr. Yummy pants he totally is I don’t care he is scared it only adds to his charm.
This was a lot of chatter because this book speaks for itself. I don’t need to give you a plot run down you can read the blurb for that. I feel like this is a good bye to a great series letter more than a review. If you read or listened to the other books its already automatic you’re going to get this book I mean hello more Logan, Justus, Simon, Adam and Christian not to mention Fin and the other Cross brothers. Hello man meat ;)
I can’t say enough great things about this narrator she brought each character to life in their own way. I loved it to the moon and back. She did an outstanding job.

I read this series a long time ago and it pops up in my mind from time to time and I thought why not give it a re-read. Loved it just as much this time as I did then.
Samantha’s world is about to get tipped upside down. She finds out she comes from a royal family. The Queen of Lilaria is finding some of the families and reinstating their titles.
If that wasn’t enough she meets Prince Yummy, I mean Prince Alex haha and well they hit it off. Things start to heat up between them.
Samantha has a lot of soul searching to do, does she stay and finish college or does she become her families figurehead and take her place in the Lilarian government.
The story is sweet and sexy and yeah a little cheesy but that’s what I loved about it. I loved that it’s a modern take on the Princess Diaries.
I really enjoyed this book and this series and I loved the narration.
