I made it 12 chapters, I just couldn't anymore with the main character. I get it she is 22 and immature but it just wasn't my thing. I really tried.

Chapter 30 and I am done, I can't keep going with the will they won't they.
Her being treated like a second class person because of the side of town she grew up on.
It is just not for me, this is the second time I have tried this story and I just can't finish it.
The narrators are great, I wish I could get past the drama.

It's rare I don't finish a book.

I don't know if it was the combo of my tummy being upset or what but I just couldn't get past how descriptive this book was. To many ways to describe liquid coming from a body.

Again because I didn't finish I won't rate it.

I will say I liked how kick ass the female character was.

I don't normally review a book if I didn't finish it. And I am not really reviewing it now. I listened to 8 hours of the 24 hour audiobook.

It wasn't bad or anything like that, just a little boring for me. I am not really a witch or magic fan. I didn't like it it just fell flat, and when I came back to it after sleeping I just didn't have the desire to continue.

I am loving, this re-read. I get to remember how much I liked these characters.

Ehlena, she is coming to terms with her father’s illness but she has guilt because she can’t provide for him in the manner she would like to.

Working as a nurse for Havers is great and all but there are always downsides. When Rehvenge comes to get treated the nurse draw for who has to deal with him. Usually, Ehlena gets picked because she isn’t all that scared of him.

Rehvenge holds the title of many things, brother, son, business owner, pimp, drug lord, sympath, vampire. You got to feel for the guy having all these people that rely on him. He doesn’t see it as a burden but how can he not. He is doing something he hates in order to keep the ones he holds dear safe.

I have to say thou watching these two find each other even with all the other stuff going on is one of my favorite stories. Because she balances him out in a way no one ever had, not even Marrisa when he had that brief “affair” with her.

I love that the Moore’s and Trez have his back that’s a great subplot I really enjoyed in this book along with Xhex and his relationship with her.

If you’re not familiar with BDB you really need to check these books out I am loving them more now than ever before.

I didn’t know what to listen to next, then I was scrolling on Facebook and Lori Foster herself asked who of her characters our favorite was. Jude and May were the first to pop into my head. I read this book many years ago and LOVED it so.

I hadn’t listened to it, so thought why not. Not only is it as good listening to it as it was to eye read it. But it just brought back all the feelings of why I loved it so much the first time.

May doesn’t let people or events take her down she is strong in so very many says and I love that she knows herself. Jude is infatuated and doesn’t take no for an answer and he is willing to do the work to make her see that he really does want to get to know her. I loved this about their story. They really communicate and there is very little drama which I love. There is still the element of suspense and who done it. Without all the drama mess and still it leaves you wanting more.

I love Jim’s narration, he gives such a unique voice to these characters that I can’t get enough of I am going to dive into Murphy’s Law next.

Since the first book in this series features my favorite couple by Lori Foster, I just had to listen to this book next. I am so glad I did I love Ashley and Quinton and their story kind of continues on where Jude and May’s stopped.

I love how unique and witty Ashley is and how her past really has shaped who she is and what she believes in. I also very much enjoy the relationship between May and Ashley its more than sister or best friends its true a like having someone who knows you better than you know yourself.

Quinton is so freaking cute, he falls hard for Ashley and I kinda dig that he goes after what he wants.

Overall I enjoyed their love story and the mystery/suspense was done well.
There were a few things that I could have done without but what can you do you can’t love everything no matter how much you want to.

The narration was fantastic again I am a fan of Jim and want him to narrate more, more, more.

This is the second time I have read this book and I loved it more this time then the last. Ass kicking wickedness!

5 Halfway Stars

I can’t even describe what these books are like to read and reread, this is the 3rd time reading Cat and Bones and I loved it as much as I did the first time.
But this time I got to listen in audio. Is there anything better than that? These books along with The BlackDagger Brotherhood are what got me hooked on Vamps!

Cat half human half vamp, is taught from an early age that vampires are bad and want to kill. So at the age of sixteen she kills her first, now she is older and wiser… maybe. And she goes to pick up a vamp but he wants notta to do with her.
I found this to be so amusing. Especially how she get his attention.
I won’t go in to all that you can read the blurbs and all that but I loved the dynamic between these two. But I mostly love how he makes her see vampires in a different light and hey maybe they are not all bad.
Will love prevail or will love get in the way. It’s kind of like that for me. Who makes sacrifices and who has to live with the conciseness? That’s how this book is and I am so looking forward to more!

Holy Snapple, this book I forgot how much action and heart break is in this book.
So so much goes on, Cat and Bones are stronger than ever.

Vampires are made, ghouls are made. Vampires die, people die :( and master vampires have to make very hard choices.

I cried yes I did. Denise is one of my favorite characters. I can’t say more than that or I will be giving spoilers but yeah.
I love Cat’s mom though.. Lordy that woman can make me laugh. :)

I know these reviews are not like my others because I just want to sit here and tell you all about the book and I have to keep stopping myself. Seriously if you liked book 1 or 2 what are you waiting for this one is like both them all rolled in to 1 and then some.

Yep I am on to book 4 what can I say I am addicted!
