I really enjoyed this one! A cosy fantasy with a good pinch of spice, what more could you want? Maybe Dragon's? Oh, don't worry, it has them too! I really liked Daella, and the tension between her and Rivelin was top-notch! I really enjoyed the story in this one, and it was a perfect read for this time of year. I'll definitely be reading the other books in this series, especially as the next book is about Lilia
Electric Idol by Katee Robert
4.0
Can Katee do any wrong? Again, this has everything you expect from them! I really loved Psyche and Eros and their relationship! It was such a fun read, and as you expect, the spice was 🔥🔥🔥 I can't wait to read more of this series and to be honest anything else Katee writes, I sometimes forget how much I enjoy her writing!
Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead

After finishing me reread/listen of the Sookie Stackhouse series, i decided to do the same with another favourite, and you all helped me to pick the Georgina Kincaid series!
I enjoyed my reread, and it reminded me why I love this series! I really like Georgina, and this book has everything you want fab characters, mystical creatures, mystery with a pinch of spice! I can't wait to continue with this series 😀

The Demon's Queen by Katee Robert
4.5
I've been waiting for this book since I first read The Dragon's Bride over 2 years ago, and it didn't disappoint! It has everything you expect from this series. Great characters and fun plot and top-notch spice! It was so good finally getting to see more of Azazel, and I really liked Eve, especially her friendship with Ramanu. If you're a fan of spice and monster romance, I would definitely recommend this series as it's such a fun read, and to me, that's what reading is all about 🥰
Vampires of Moscow by Caedis Knight
3.0
I liked the concept of this one, an undercover reporter from a paranormal newspaper hoping to Russia to investigate deaths happening at 2 vampire brothers' businesses! I like Saskia as well as Lukka and Konstantin and overall enjoyed the story even if I wasn't blown away by it! I was expecting it to be a bit spicer though the tension between the characters was good
The Cursed by Harper L. Woods
4.0
I'm a big fan of Harper and really enjoyed The Coven when I read it last year, and I finally got round to reading part 2! I did struggle a bit as it took a while to remember what happened, etc, but once I got into it, I really enjoyed it! I loved how Willow grew and came into her own the last 50 pages or so where amazing 🥰 and the spice was the same! I would love to see more from this world, especially after the epilogue!
Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree
4.0
I'll admit I was a bit nervous going into this one as I absolutely adored Legends & Lattes, but I didn't have to be! This has everything you expect, loveable characters, found family, and a pinch of adventure. I loved seeing Viv fall in love with reading as a bookworm it's something we love to see! Although I don't love this quite as much as Legends and Lattes, I still really enjoyed it, and I really hope there's more to come in this world as it's becoming one of my favourites!
New Town by Zakary L. Skiver, Zakary L. Skiver

So I didn't quite know what to expect going into this, and it's not something I would normally pick up and read, but as it was spooky season, I thought it would be rude not to! Overall, I enjoyed it, I liked Cathy and Brady, and I really liked how it went from their POVs to the towns getting their POVs as well. It was a bit more gorey than I expected but I didn't mind that.
Overall, a good quick spooky/mind horror read perfect for this time of year!

Mysteries of the Southern Gothic by Jessica Carrasquillo

So, I was drawn to this because of the true crime podcast and cult vibes, but unfortunately, it fell a bit short for me! I thought the characters were extremely unlikeable and found myself skimming the pages around their developing relationship! I liked the podcast element of this and thought it was really well done and wanted to find out what happened. It kept me reading, but again, I was a bit disappointed at the ending!
I'm sure lots of people will enjoy this, but it seems no matter how many I try, Thriller type books just aren't for me!

Love In the Scottish Fall Forest by Beatrice Bradshaw

So, although this has some of my fav tropes, it also had some I don't normally read, such as age gap and single dad. Overall, I enjoyed it it was a fun, easy read. I really liked Gennie with a G, and I switched between really liking Nathan and feeling he was waving massive red flags!
The tension between Gennie and Nathan was perfect, and the spice when they finally gave in 🔥🔥🔥
I'll be checking out the others in this series when I want a fun cosy romance with a dash of spice and a grumpy Scott!
