Cruel Winter with You by Ali Hazelwood
3.0
I saw this and thought like it sounded like a fun series of Christmas Novellas by different authors, so I decided to listen to the audio version of it!
So this wasn't quite what I was expecting it was more looking back at Jamie and Marcs's past and misunderstandings that stopped them getting together this was a cute novella with good characters, but I wasn't blown away and am looking forward to reading the other Novellas in this series!

I've been a bit under the weather, but this was the perfect read! It was fun and easy to read, and I loved it! I love Trixie, and Chris was so cute, though we all know Luke Skycocker was the station the show! I loved there was a bit of drama, but no third act break up! Just Chris and Trixie being there for each other and taking up the space they deserve! I can't wait to read the rest of the series! Especially book 2 as I love me a grumpy cinnamon roll love interest 🥰
The Lost by Hayley Anderton

This picks-up where The Risen ended this book definitely concentes more on the people and relationships and how they're dealing with the aftermath of the first book but don't worry the action does pick up again and I'll be picking up book 3 shortly to find out what happens to the gang!
The Last War We Ever Fought by Wendy Heiss

I read this for a prompt on the @buddyreadbooknook autumn bingo as it filled a prompt and was a quick read!
I'll be honest, it wasn't quite what I expected, and I did feel a bit lost and confused at times! I like the characters and the story was OK but I was expecting something more

Bewitching Rosemary by Colleen Delaney

I read and loved The Hedge Witch earlier this year, so I was so excited for book 2, and I wasn't disappointed! I absolutely loved Rosemary and thought she was brilliant! I also liked Asher and thought his background and story were really interesting! I loved the plant magic element of this and really enjoyed the story! Overall, this was a quick, fun, easy read full of magic, a fun story with a pinch of spice! I can't wait for book 3 and to see which sister we will get to know more next!
The Risen by Hayley Anderton

When you want something short and easy to read, Hayleys are my go-to! I really enjoyed her Last Girls and Earth series, so I was excited to try another of her series! This isn't something that I would normally read, but I enjoyed it! It has everything you would expect from Hayley, found family, loveable characters, and super quick and easy to get into and read and that ending??? Talk about cliffhanger! I'll be reading book 2 shortly
Chain-Gang All-Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah

So when I saw this being compared to The Hunger Games, I added it to my TBR straight away! I can see why it gets these comparisons, but there really is nothing alike, but that's not to say that Chain Gang All-Stars doesn't deserve the hype! I will admit I did feel a bit lost at times due to the different POVs and the timeline jumping about, but overall, I enjoyed it! The characters are complex, and I maybe wouldn't say likeable.
What strikes me the most about this one is the footnotes, especially as lots of the facts and figures are true, and you can tell lots of research went into this!
And that ending, wow? That definitely upped the star rating for me

Sometimes, you just want to read something short and spicy, and this ticked both these boxes! Overall, I enjoyed it it was fun, hot, and was a mix of spice and story, though I know this is a novella, I do wish this was slightly longer, so the story line could be explored a bit more though I'll definitely be reading more in this series when I want something short fun and sexy to read!
The Pumpkin Kings Bride by Rae Lori

As a lover of Beauty and the Beast, I couldn't resist this retelling, especially as it was autumn themed, my favourite time of year! Overall, I enjoyed the book and liked Anna and The Pumpkin King, and you can most definitely tell its a Beauty and the Beast retelling! It was a quick, easy read, and give it a go if you like fairytale retellings and autumn
