The book is essentially a list of ‘aesthetic’ things that you can do in your free time. It’s a written version of having a Pinterest board. There’s also an alarming lack of warnings regarding much of these subjects (Not warning the reader that berry bushes are often invasive and can grow out of control, not warning that many herbal mixtures/tinctures can be deadly or can cause pregnancy issues, etc).

There are a few good recipes in it, but even then it’s nothing you wouldn’t find in any other type of ‘homesteading’ book. This thing was meant to be put on coffee tables at doctor’s offices as an inoffensive decorative piece and not something humans are actually supposed to be reading.
