Bit more sad than I'd like a novella that follows a couple post book, but I understand the author's idea here.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 18%.
Just could not get into it, I was not invested in the FMC at all.

One of my absolute all time favourite books. Another glorious reread! The litjoy edition had lots of lovely annotations from Bardugo, plus art.

Thank you to Orbit for the chance to read this early!

First off: wow. A masterpiece from start to finish. By page 4 I could tell I was going to like it, by 40% in a was completely in love.

This book strikes the perfect balance between serious/dark, and comedic relief.

If you love a dark, mysterious and rich fantasy world: this is for you. Absolutely no insta-love to be found here, this is firmly a slow burn with Uber amounts of longing!

Six's relationship with her gargoyle companion was the giggle we needed so often. A fierce yet silly companion. 👌

Just like One Dark Window, I am so impressed with the lore she has built in this book. It's unique, well explained, and fits in the world perfectly. (I can't say much more without spoiling things)

I'm not super please to see this marketed as "romantasy", I find that female authors works keep being pushed into this label if there's any romance in their books.. and men write books with equal amounts of romance and they're marketed as high fantasy.

This is most definitely a fantasy romance, heavy on the fantasy, with enough romance to give a nice reprieve from the darkness of the story itself.

(I want to start this by saying, my rating would probably be higher if I was not reading while sick with COVID lol. My reading comprehension takes a nose dive when I have it, so I often found myself lost in the political stuff. Hopefully I can reread at some point and update.)

The first 40% was rough for me, but the last 25% was AMAZING. Ahhhh. I really hope they announce the release date for the next book soon.

Sawyer's storyline had me in tears. 😭

I don't know what else to say without spoilers. If you liked the first two books, there's more of all the great stuff in this one.

Exactly what I was looking for, something lighter while I wait for onyx storm. The plot is definitely developing more in this one.
