It's definitely fun for what it is. It's light and easy to read, with smut. The title clearly shows that, and it's exactly what I wanted.

3.5 is the highest I'll rate smut lol! It's fun, and interesting, but it is not a literary masterpiece nor a book I'll reread.

The openings of each chapter saying how many animals were on the mountain made me laugh so much. 🤣

If breeding kink isn't your thing, you won't like this book. If it is, enjoy.

"and there, in a grave colder than Mars, next to the soul I'd loved for a hundred lives and lost in every one, we took our final breath beneath indifferent stars."

Well, I finished it one day.. so that's saying a lot!

This really did feel like "what if Addie LaRue loved Luc".. in the best sort of way.

Seeing them overcome everything, time and time again, to find each other was heartbreaking. With each life you get a better glimpse of their story, and the depth of time they are dealing with.

"Bravery is picking up the fear and carrying it alongside you, rather than allowing it to block the path."

Around 55% of the way through I felt it was getting a bit repetitive, but it picked up again around 75%.. then it was a speed run to the end.

So, the only thing I wish was different was if we skipped some of that section, and spent more time on the ending.

Overall, their relationship is great and Evelyn's relationships with her family members are beautiful too.

This one will probably stick with me.

By far one of the best books I've read in a while. Written in an absolutely bingable style, I could not put it down.

The author's descriptions, dialogue, relationships.. *chefs kiss*. It reads so smoothly, your eyes flow over the page.. always aching for the next bit of information.

I loved this enemies to lovers story! It reminded me of Bridge Kingdom (not to imply the stories are the same, but the impeccable ETL vibe) in all the best ways.

If you liked Bridge Kingdom and it's romantic tension, or Shadow and Bone with its political struggles (mixed with magic).. you'll adore this book!

Very engaging and well written. I don't like sci-fi that much, so to have finished this in a few days shows how good it is!

I know it's so petty, but I cannot read a book with a vampire MMC named KYLE FFS.

Also "the cool violet of his breath on my skin"..... What? I read that sentence and shut the book *sigh*.

Ahhhhh and Carissa Broadbent does it again. Another amazing book, with a horrifying ending I did not see coming.

This book is gorgeous, action packed and a wild ride! 😍😍 I can't wait for the next one

"how does it feel?"
"It feels like a nap"

Oh lord.. this book is not long, but it sure felt long. What was with the repetitive Forest Bog r*pe scenes? I swear we spent 50 pages on that, in a 350 page book. 🙄

Characters were cut and paste from every other book you've ever read. Twist was obvious from where I was at (with breadcrumbs of "that can't be it can it?" From even earlier) so when I hopped to the end to see if it was worth continuing.. I knew I shouldn't bother.

Predictable, repetitive, the writing style was clunky.
