This book was amazing. I didn’t care as much for Six Of Crows as I felt it was too slow and I didn’t feel a connection to the characters or see much character development. This book has made up for all of those things and more. The character arcs were incredible and the ending was near perfect. Except for iykyk.

This book was mind blowing. It pushed my beliefs and myself as a person. This is a must read for everyone. I can’t begin to explain how this book has made me understand people on such a different level.

Reid does an amazing job of making you feel like you’ve sat at watched an entire lifetime go by. I felt like I personally knew Evelyn. I felt the love for her as a person who I knew but the hatred as she proved to at times be not a terrible person, but a raw human being. She made mistakes, and she didn’t apologize for what most would have. Reid created a beautiful person who was just that, a person. She didn’t make her character special or what we all want to be. But she made her into a greedy, self absorbed, sexual woman who I think we can all see ourselves in.

I cannot recommend this book enough. If I could rate it higher than 5/5 I would.

At the beginning of this book I felt uncertainty. It felt bland after the first chapter and I was very confused and not much was explained.

Half way through my opinion changed. The book picked up and the characters became more complex. This book kept my attention.

Now that I’ve finished it I’ve come to the conclusion that this book is a 3.5/5. My reasoning is…

1. I felt like Jude had some character development but not a great amount. However, this is a series so I still have faith!!

2. I felt that Jude and Cardan’s relationship shifted too dramatically. I would understand if Cardan explained clearly that he was not behind all of the cruel things that Jude had endured from his friends. But it felt like all of a sudden they just had the hots for each other with no background.

3. I loved how the sister Jude was closest with at the beginning was the one she was furthest from at the end.

Over all I would recommend this book!!
