The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
5.0
This book was mind blowing. It pushed my beliefs and myself as a person. This is a must read for everyone. I can’t begin to explain how this book has made me understand people on such a different level.
Reid does an amazing job of making you feel like you’ve sat at watched an entire lifetime go by. I felt like I personally knew Evelyn. I felt the love for her as a person who I knew but the hatred as she proved to at times be not a terrible person, but a raw human being. She made mistakes, and she didn’t apologize for what most would have. Reid created a beautiful person who was just that, a person. She didn’t make her character special or what we all want to be. But she made her into a greedy, self absorbed, sexual woman who I think we can all see ourselves in.
I cannot recommend this book enough. If I could rate it higher than 5/5 I would.
