Good story, but very sad. A different perspective on the Holocaust.

This was very different from what I expected, but I liked it. I really enjoyed how he tied the fictional story in with civil war history. I had never heard of Carnton, but now i think I need to go to Tennessee and see if for myself.

I really like the way the author portrayed Catherine Parr. Enjoyed reading about the final days of Henry as well.

I really enjoyed this book. Colonel Julyan's part was a bit of a struggle to get through due to his rambling nature, and I felt that Ellie's part just completely lost focus towards the end. This was Rebecca's Tale that seemed to turn into Ellie's struggles with being single. I would have given this book a higher rating if the last part had not seemed to go off in several different directions.

A quick read that was reminiscent of the Harry Potter series. With the setting in London, England, a boarding school and ghosts involved, it was hard not to picture images from the Harry Potter movies. Not sure if I will read the rest of the series, but I enjoyed this book.
