I loved this book! I thought it was great that the owners and everyone else involved with Seabiscuit put his needs first and acknowledged his unique personality. I had never really thought about the life of the jockey and I am so glad that the author shared what they go through as well. I had no idea it was so difficult for them. The next time I attend the horse races, I will have an entirely new outlook.

I think this book is a great read for book clubs because there are so many important topics presented that would make for a good discussion. I thought this was an interesting story and I liked the fact that I could not predict the outcome and that the writer had such a descriptive writing style.

I think this book had it all--romance, suspense, history. I enjoyed reading it. I did wonder about the details of a few characters, but other than that I was satisfied with how it ended.
