This story was fun and I thought shows amazing potential for Brett’s future writing. The characters were quirky and unique. I liked the side friends who will be appearing in book two. I am always obsessed with a cinnadaddy—Gimmie that uptight boy who starts unraveling and dirty talking when he meets that special person.

The MCs are chaos, which I adored, I just expected more deep conversations with them because they are also both emotionally intelligent. I think that was a bit of a let down as far as relationship development. I was also left wishing the on & off again parts of the relationship made more sense. They felt a bit under developed for me.

The idea of a main character bath ✨Sent me✨ I can’t wait for Lyssa’s book!

Writing wasn’t very good and I didn’t really like the characters. It was hard to stay interested. The steamy scenes could have potentially been not, but I didn’t think the MCs connected-at all-and the sex just came out of no where. Zero build up.

I really wanted to get into this book, but I just couldn’t vibe. I really didn’t get very far, but I was pretty confused (I guess is the best way to put it?). The prologue seemed unnecessary, nothing really happened. All of Enid’s chapters that I read felt like I was missing a lot of background story (potentially that’s because I didn’t read the first book?). But it was frustrating going straight into that and feeling like I was on unsure footing. I didn’t have the patience currently to stick this out and see if it got better.

I loved Larkin in the first Goliath’s book and he didn’t disappoint in Clean Finish! There were some very funny moment at the beginning of the book, but his character was expanded on without the humor, as well. Seb was adorably in love and full of pining! The only reason I took off half a star was the ending. For me, once the couple was together the story line plodded on and the extra details seemed unnecessary. I was totally ok with the slower pace until that point and then I had to drag myself through the last like 5%. I’m very much looking forward to book three in this series.

I was gifted an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Ugh this book!! I just couldn’t anymore at the end. It started off cute with the small town fall vibes—very sweet Halloween Town—and then just failed to launch. The adventure/quest segment of the plot was kinda lame and I was uninterested. It made me realize how terrible the dialog was (especially the dirty talk) between the MCs. I didn’t think there was enough character development, especially for the MMC. The use of baby made me cringe (already not my favorite nickname, but this felt like a crime). The audio narration was alright, but perhaps a little over done at certain points acting wise (so many breathy moments). The romance didn’t have any real building blocks and was frankly disappointing.

I really loved the first book in this series, but wow did I struggle with books two and three. There seemed to be a lot of extra details I didn’t care for and by the end of this book I was barely making it through. Frankly, I was bored. I don’t think this needed to be a trilogy, this could have easily been one book (maybe a duology). Series editing was needed IMO. I didn’t like how the romance took a back seat in books two and three. And this book in particular had a lot of detail that I felt was unnecessary and uninteresting. I’m sad I couldn’t vibe with this one more, but I’m happy it’s over.
