Bought for the illustrations, which didn’t disappoint. The story is a bit simple, but a lovely verse. I look forward to adding other books by the author to our library.
Got this as a gift for a three year old, but my 5 mo old enjoyed looking at the pictures! I loved the diversity and acceptance of this book. The message definitely comes across. I was expecting more storyline/written words for the complexity of the images and the topic. But the fun and busy illustrations mostly made up for that. It can be used as an early ISpy or easy way to engage a kid in reading. Highly suggest for all kids and parents who want to encourage healthy body image.
Detailed descriptions of trains and their components. Wish it was a little longer to stretch the age range. The info is a lot of smaller babies who typically use board books. There are tactical features to each page, which is a nice touch. Love the real images of trains too, since many books just have illustrated pictures.
Easy to understand introduction to emotions, I love both the board book and the picture book versions, for different ages. Added bonus is the unique artwork.
This was a sweet book with lovely small town/cozy vibes. I loved the way magic works in this world. I kinda both love it and am tortured by it when a character is on team “true love isn’t real” 😭 but Xavier!! He was so in love almost immediately and just couldn’t see it. I enjoyed my time in this world and look forward to picking up the other books in the series. (Having read this one first, I didn’t feel like I was missing anything)
