After the first two books, we need a conclusion. This book will leave you feeling angsty and twitchy throughout. This book is about Chris, his brothers have been scorned and want what they believe is theirs. We get a POV from Trevor, along with the other guys. It adds more narrative and makes you feel the hatred behind the torture he dishes. We learn more about Chris, when he was known as Daniel and the abhorrent neglect and abuse he endured until he was 18. Trevor has always been the real evil brother, despite Andy's little games, he also has an innocence about him, manipulated and controlled by Trevor in a different way. There is so much violence in this book, I could feel every punch and kick. Again, we are held right to the end for the rescue and the four friends come full circle, all back together at the cabin where it all started. This trilogy has been so gripping, full on throughout; it pushed me out of my comfort zone and in the end all four men won me over.

This story is like watching a scary movie, you  know something is going to happen, causing an uneasy feeling, you just don't know what and when. Several times I wanted to get off the merry-go-round, but I also needed to know what would happen. It's complicated, secrets are revealed, dishonesty is laid bare and there are prices to pay. How far is each scorned person willing to go? When is enough, actually enough? Pain turns to pleasure, punishments become needs, and it messes with your head. You will be left wanting book 2 straight after to see where the story goes. A refreshing change to the usual mm books, captivating throughout. I am left with mixed feelings about certain characters and I still don't know who to trust. This is not a romance it is revenge and atonement with feelings and sex. This story features on betrayal and has grey areas regarding consent and monogamy. There are mentions of historical SA, rape and abuse, including that of a child. I am going into book 2 with no idea where the story will take me.

A great continuation from book 1, events that happened in the first book are retold, but in Skylar and Brooks pov. Brooks has never thought of himself as anything but straight, but Skylar's presence puts him on high alert. Skylar is hiding from his recent breakup which left him terrified and insecure. Having Brooks around makes him feel safe and a lot more too. These two become inseparable and Brooks can't help himself when it comes to making Skylar feel safe and wanted. The lacy underwear is an added bonus. It was sweet watching their relationship develop and see Skylar recover from his woes. Despite Brooks having never been with a man there was no hiding and no big coming out story. Next up is Sawyer and I can't wait. I really really loved this story. Henry and Alex are both such lovely characters. This is a spin off from The Boyfriend Cafe but has a completely different vibe. These two fall into place so easily but without actually discussing the things that need addressing: Alex has only ever dated women, Alex didn't pull away from Henry and Alex isn't staying. All of these points give the story an uneasiness. Henry knows he is going to get hurt when Alex leaves. Alex has never been happy, his job isn't satisfying and his parents are so controlling and manipulating. Except when he is Henry he finally relaxes and feels his worth. I think Poppy knew they were meant to be together. I'm really excited about this new series, can't wait to read Sebastian's story.
