Oops, I never posted this lol.
Why did it take me this long to read this?! This was hands down the cutest, coziest, most wholesome story I have ever read. It felt like a warm hug. I loved everything about it. I literally read it in 4 hours. So lighthearted and fun. And I loved the banter and all of the characters. I want my own personal rattkin baker like Thimble, please.
Legends & Lattes was the perfect cozy fantasy

I’m basically reviewing the full Nightborn duet!
I absolutely LOVED this series. Action-packed, complex and phenomenally developed characters, slow burn enemies to lovers romance, betrayal, and political intrigue. It was perfectly magical and mesmerizing in every way.
I adored our FMC and MMC. Oraya is a total badass, and Raihn is such an unexpected softie for Oraya and it melted my heart. I loved the chemistry and tension between them. Everything about their relationship was absolute perfection

Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood

Honestly, I’ve been putting off writing this review for a while. Not because I didn’t enjoy it. But because I loved it SO FUCKING MUCH and related to the FMC on such a vulnerable, personal level. But before we unpack all of that, let’s touch on a few other things.
First, Ali Hazelwood really is the QUEEEEEN of STEM romance. And witty, hilarious, absolutely adorable, and relatable ones at that. I was laughing out loud within the first 3 pages of this book. I just love Ali Hazelwood’s writing and humor. And some of the absolutely unhinged one-liners. I also love how Hazelwood always has the struggles of being a woman in STEM at the forefront of the plot. It is something that is so important to bring awareness to and discuss, and she does it perfectly within an adorably funny romcom. Truly an art.
The characters were all perfect. I loved Jack. He is intelligent, wildly perceptive, compassionate, and honest (and I was 100% picturing Chris Evans the entire time). I loved how much he genuinely LIKED Elsie—not just loved—but liked and respected her for the person and absolutely brilliant physicist she is. I loved how he helped her grow into herself. He is definitely one of my favorite romcom MMCs. And once again from Hazelwood, we have an incredible friendship between the FMC and her best friend. CeCe is everything. She’s loyal, supportive, and caring. And she is absolutely hilarious. I love how she accepted Elsie wholely when she was finally honest with her. I also loved Greg and Millicent. I need more Millicent lol.
Next, the romance. I love a good slow burn, and I am a slut for enemies-to-lovers. And oh, did this deliver. The tension between Elsie and Jack was *MUAH* CHEFS KISS. I loved their witty banter and the love they shared. They cared so much for each other and they both grew as individuals because of one another. Truly the best kind of love. OH, and the spice

Let me start by saying this book had me hooked from the moment I started reading. I hated having to force myself to put it down to sleep. So needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this one!
I went in blind with this book, and I’m so happy I did. Versions of Us is the second standalone romance in the Cliff Haven series, and it was such a wonderful, unique, deep, and beautifully written story that gave me all the feels. You laugh. You cry. You really go through it with these characters, which were all amazing and relatable. Kristen and Henley’s love for one another ran so deeply, you can’t help but root for them!

Okay, Travis did it again. I devoured and adored this cozy fantasy just like I did Legends & Lattes. At this point, I will read anything written by this man, and I definitely consider him the king of cozy fantasy.
Once more, I absolutely adored all the characters. You really cannot help it, because they are all funny, sweet, and simply precious. Fern was by far my favorite and certainly a far cry from our other rattkin friend from L&L — complete with a very colorful vocabulary. I also loved Satchel. Every character was perfect in their own way.
I rated this one a little lower than L&L only because it took me a little longer to really get into it. BUT once I did, I couldn’t put it down. I could seriously read 200 more pages about this cozy bookshop. I didn’t want to leave it. Bookshops & Bonedust and Legends & Lattes have established themselves as two of my comfort reads, undoubtedly. And I hope to see more incredible cozy fantasies from Travis in the future!

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

First.. how did I not know this was a loose retelling of Beauty and the Beast? How the fuck did I miss that? *face palm*
I have been putting this off for most of this year, because the rest of the series looks daunting as hell and I was scared it wouldn’t live up to the hype. But I’m so glad I finally started it, and I really enjoyed the first book! The writing flows well and the world-building is vast but easy to understand. Maas really paints Prythian as such a beautiful, ethereal, and dreamy world.
And the characters! Feyre. I won’t lie, she can be kind of whiny at times, but I loved her regardless. She is fierce, resilient, and has such a big heart. I really loved Lucien, and his loyalty and strength shine so brightly. Tamlin… I liked him here, but found myself not wanting to, not wanting to get attached. I think knowing he fucks up somewhere down the line did really influence my feelings about him. But Rhysand! First of all, this man is fucking hot. I loved how he cared for Ferye and his faith in her since the beginning. I’m excited to see where his character goes. I found myself really liking Nesta as well.
I did have an issue with Tamlin and Ferye’s relationship. It just didn’t feel authentic? It seemed too sudden. One moment she hates him, the next she’s in love with him? I mean, the shit she did for him because of it, she obviously was. But I don’t know. I definitely wasn’t swooning over them. Maybe because of what I mentioned about Tamlin above lol
Okay this was longer than I intended. But this was a solid start to the series! And I’m excited to continue and discover the real hype of it, because I’m not quiet convinced yet. But I’m sure I’ll get there.

A Court of Sugar and Spice by Rebecca F. Kenney

Want to land yourself on the naughty list just in time for Christmas? Read this book.
“Spice” is definitely in the title for a reason. This was a dark and extra spicy Nutcracker retelling. And a seriously fun read! I really enjoyed Rebecca Kenney’s writing. Wonderful world-building, full of decadently vivid imagery. I was immediately immersed in this Faerie world!
While seriously spicy, I liked that the sex scenes didn’t take over the entirety of the story. The plot itself was still engaging and action-packed. I was never bored. And the characters were great too. I especially liked Fin. Learning why they call him the Sugarplum Faerie… omg hahahah. I will say Louisa was my least favorite and she irked me quite a bit.
Romance-wise, we get two love stories! We see some instalove, which isn’t always my favorite, but I think it worked really well here! We also have enemies to lovers, which is my favorite trope in the history of tropes… but, I did feel like it lacked that ✨ tension ✨ I normally love from it here. Regardless, I still enjoyed both blossoming romances!
Overall, this was a fast-paced, deliciously spicy, and magical read! Definitely a perfect read for the holiday season!
Please be sure to check the trigger warnings before reading.
